Hello Steemians, hope you all are doing wonderful.

Special thanks to @ngoenyi @steemitfoods and @alikoc07 for this thoughtful and wonderful contest it's indeed an avenue to enable us share our favourite traditional desserts.

My favourite traditional desserts is known as puff puff. Puff puff is my favourite because of its
nutritional value more to it is, it's easy to prepare.

History of Puff Puff

Puff-puffs comprises of , yeast, sugar, butter, salt, water and eggs (which are optional), and deep fried in vegetable oil to a golden brown colour. In place of a yeast baking powder can be used, however the most common is yeast. Puff Puff can be rolled in any spices like cinnamon, sugar etc, it can also be served plain without being rolled on any spices, the choice is yours . This traditional desserts can be served with any beverages or juice of your choice such as zobo, tea, coffee etc.

Ingredients
4cups of flour
1cup of sugar
2tablespoon of milk flavour
1teaspoon of nutmeg
1tablespoon of yeast
¼pinch of salt
1tablespoon of cayenne pepper
1bulb of onions
Vegetable oil for frying
1½ lukewarm water

Procedures
Measurement out the flour and the sugar. I sift the flour in a shallow bowl, added sugar, nutmeg, and salt I mixed the dried ingredients together.

In a separate plate I mixed the active yeast to rise for 2minutes. I also mixed the milk flavour in a separate plate with lukewarm water.

I made a hole in the middle of the shallow flour bowl and poured the wet ingredients and mixed to achieved sticky consistency.

I covered the bowl to rise for 1 hour.
After 1hour it doubled in sized. And it was ready to be fried in a hot oil.

On a medium heat, I added enough oil to a fry pan and heat till it was hot. To test run it I dropped a tiny batter in the hot oil, once it floated at the top of the heat I knew it is ready to be used.

I fried on both sides till it was golden brown, I repeated the method till all the batter were exhausted.
