Okay,
So I had a visitor today, who happened to be a very good friend of mine. It's been years since we've seen each other. And considering the fact that I moved to a new city for school. And he remained in our little home town where we all grew up. The only connection we had was social media and phone calls.
So last week he told me he was coming over to my city ( where I reside currently), for a business trip. And today he called me saying that he was coming to see me at home. Since it was impromptu and I didn't know what to do to entertain my august visitor. I decided on something fast and fortunately it is one of my specialties.
The spaghetti.
Ingredients:
Spaghetti
Groundnut oil
Fresh Tomatoes
Some Bell Peppers ( I like my spag. a little peppery)
Onions
Seasoning cubes
Salt
Carrots (optional)
Spices (optional)
Cucumber (optional)
Egg (optional)
Procedures:
Dice the onion, carrots.Blend the tomatoes and peppers.
Pour in water in a pot and parboil the spaghetti (make sure it is a little bit done). Then put it out of the pot and rinse.
Heat your groundnut oil. When hot add the onion first then blended tomatoes and pepper. Pour in the carrots. Leave for a few minutes.
Add water (little quantity since he spaghetti is a bit done). Steam for a few minutes. Add the parboil spaghetti and leave to steam for some minutes. Set it down and dish.
Garnished with cucumber and fried egg.
Food is ready.
