Today is Sunday and Sundays are always spent for quality time with the family. It is usually spent over good food, communing at the table during lunch and dinner while having wholesome conversation with the family. Sunday mornings usually start slow and as always starts with a cup of good coffee to welcome the new day. Afterwards, a special dish is prepared for lunch, something that is not usually prepared during the weekdays, I guess this is just family tradition while some opt to eat out or order something so they rest and relax all throughout the day. Today's Sunday special is a dish called Chicken Halang-Halang. Halang-halang means spicy in Visayan (Filipino Vernacular). This dish is characterised by the addition of sliced green chili, ginger, and coconut cream. Those three are the major ingredients that flavor the chicken halang-halang.
