Afang soup recipe : 19/04/2021 @ladygospel

Today i want to share how i prepare my afang soup also known as Gnetum africanum.

Recipe:

Afang leaf already cut
Water leaf
Meat
Dry fish
Crayfish
Pepper
Seasoning cube
Palm oil
Salt

I went to the market i bought already cut Afang leaf ( Gnetum Africanum). Water leaf and all the ingredients that is needed for the soup.

Coming back home i pour the already cut afang into mortar and i pound it with pestle i pound it till it well look like paste.

I then wash the water leaf with much water.

Before i begin to slice it.

I wash the meat very well into the cooking pot, season it with onions, season cube and pepper then i steam the meat for 20minute. While steaming the meat i wash the dry fish and add it with the meat and allow it for 10minute so that the fish will soft while eating.

Then i beginning my normal cooking
I pour into the pot the already slice water leaf, add seasoning cube cover for some minutes, add oil, turn it to mixed add cray fish and pepper allow it for some time then add the already pound afang as the Gnetum Africanum turn it till everything mix well add oil to give you the attractive appearance you want up you are done.

The soup is ready to serve.
