Hello everyone,good evening.
Today I made a delicious porridge yam with vegetable and I will be sharing the procedure on how I prepared my meal.
Porridge yam with vegetable is one of the most regarded local food in my vicinity and below is the easiest procedure in preparing the meal.
INGREDIENTS
The ingredients I used include;
• 1 tuber of Yam
• Vegetable(I used pumpkin leaf,your desired quantity)
• 1 tablespoon of Salt
• 3 cubes Maggi
• Pepper(your desired quantity)
• Onions(I used two balls but you can use more or less)
• Smoked fish(Your desired quantity)
• Cray fish.(Good quantity for taste)
Note...You can use any other vegetable of your choice aside the one I used.
DIRECTION FOR COOKING.
The direction for cooking porridge yam is very easy,below is the step I followed.
• I pilled my yam and sliced it to my desired size,then I washed it and put it on fire.
I added a little salt for taste.
•After 20minutes, When the yam was almost cooked,I added red oil,followed by my grinded crayfish.
• I allowed the yam to boil together with the red oil for about 5minutrsMinutes in order to get a good mixture,after which I added my sliced onions.
• Next thing I added was my salt,pepper and maggi after then,I poured my smoked fish for taste.
• Next,I stirred my food together and covered it to complete the cooking process,after five minutes I brought it down.
My porridge yam is ready but it remains the vegetable
• I sliced my vegetable (pumpkin Leaf),and pour it on the already cooked food
Food is ready.
Note..... The reason I brought the food down from fire before adding the vegetable is so that the neatness of the first will not change the vegetable and damage its nutritional value.
I believe with the above procedure,anyone can easily prepare porridge yam in his/her house.
