Idli Upma Recipe

Hi all, In my today post I shared one of the simple and delicious South Indian Breakfast with us.

Hope all of you enjoyed it.

Idli upma we prepare on using leftover steamed Idli, Indian spices, curry leaves and peanuts. Within 10 minutes we prepare this dish.

Most of them like to eat Hot Idli with sambar and Chutney. Sometimes we get some leftovers.

In that situation must try this recipe you feel the good taste and abide food wastage too.

Chili Idli, Idli fry, Idli Manchurian receipts we prepare on using leftover but those take time, but my Upma Recipe with leftover Idlis are very quick and simple to prepare.

How To Make Idli Upma:-

For Preparing Idli upma just follow my steps.

  • For this first Crumble Idlis, for this use frozen or leftover idlis. Because it gives more delicious, special taste to us.

Here idlis must me prepare using Rice batter, don't use rava mix made idlis.

Crumble Idlis

  • Chop Onions, Green Chilies like this.

  • Now heat a pan on adding 2 tablespoons oil, heating oil add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, Urad dal, chana dal one by one.

Finally, add peanuts, fry all those until getting golden brown colour.

  • Now add onions, green chilled, curry leaf.

Fry all those. Along with adding turmeric powder and required salt to it.

  • Now add Crumble Idlis to it, mix well. Just cook another 5 minutes on low flame.

  • Now check it taste, If any add just add it, now serve with hot on adding lemon sprinkle on it.

It gives another delicious taste to it.

Ready to Serve

Now our tasty Idli Upma is ready to serve as Breakfast or Snacks.
