Banku with okro stew with meat, fish and all assorted sea foods like crab shrimps etc is one of hyped foods especially in our Ga communities in Ghana and loved by all. It is a heavy meal but soothes the throat and I love eating it when it’s cloudy...

Ingredients

_Okro Stew*_
1. Okro and garden eggs
2.Tomatoes,onion,pepper,garlic,ginger,
3.Palm oil
4.Salt, Maggi cube
_5.Fish,meat

Banku

1.Water
2.Corn dough
3.Cassava dough
-4.Salt_

Method of Cooking(Okro Stew)
-Chop the okro and garden eggs

-Pour in a sauce pan and add water then place it on fire

-Allow to cook then remove from fire

-Ground pepper,garlic and ginger

-Pour the meat and fish into a sauce pan and add the grounded ginger, pepper and garlic

  • Meat and fish is ready

-Pour the palm oil in a sauce pan add tomatoes and onion then slow to cook

-Then add the meat and fish to the stew

-Then add Maggi cube and a pinch of salt

-Allow to cook then add the okro, allow to cook just for some few minute then take from fire

-Okro stew is ready

Banku

-Pour the corn dough and cassava dough into a sauce pan and add water then mix

-Put the mixture on fire and stir till it becomes hard then add a bit of water and cover after stir for a while

-Banku is ready
