Hi, dear Steemians and SteemFoodies!
It's my DAY 11 n the Third Season of the Food Diary Game. It's Thursday, and I finally went grocery shopping.
I share this post in English, from the #SteemFoods community, led by @steemitfoods and @alikoc07 on the occasion of the Third Season of the Food Diary Game, now promoting Club5050, #Club75 and Club100.
50% of the rewards from this post will go to @sf-charity, in order for me to help more families benefit from medicine and food.
I have joined #Club75. Have you? Learn everything about it HERE: STEEMFOODS X CLUB75 | #club75 Tag Is Ready To Use! What Are The Rules Of The #club75 Tag?, so you can, join in!
As usual, my food-day started early, at 6 a.m. with a cup of black coffee, strong, hot, and no sugar.
I had to take care of too many things today because I travel to work tomorrow; besides, I had to go grocery shopping. Since very early I knew a tough day awaited me.
For breakfast, we had pita bread filled with eggs and tomato. We sprinkled them with freshly ground black pepper.
At noon, we still had a lot left to do, so we bought a couple of coconut shakes (cocadas) to get us going. They were delicious; $1 each. A fair price; and a better snack than ice cream cones.
After that, we went to Los Gochos for groceries. I paid $10 (approx. 1.6 SBD) for what I usually pay $8. Crazy Christmas prices are already here.
I went to my niece's store and bought ground meat there. They leave almost no fat in it; I love it. I also bought yogurt from a local producer(225 gr--excellent!) for our salad, ham (500 gr) and bacon (1 kg) for the weekend (I want to make traditional Venezuelan ham bread), and ketchup. I paid $23.2 (3.4 SBD).
You have to try yogurt La yogurtera if you live in Cumaná. A local girl makes it; she makes regular yogurt and this one, my favorite, Greek.
I used it for the dressing of our late lunch salad.
I added lemon juice, crushed garlic and salt. I may add olive oil, too, or water. This time, I added water and turned it into a sauce.
I seasoned the ground beef with lemon, salt, garlic, ground cumin and olive oil. I let it macerate for 15 minutes and then I shaped it into buns and grilled them.
I washed and cut the vegetables.
I heated 3 loaves of pita bread directly over the stove fire and returned them to their bag, to soften with their own steam. They are like freshly baked.
I served everything on the table: the bread, the vegetables (green cabbage, tomato, cucumber; and a mix of parsley , cilantro and mint), the meat buns and the yogurt dressing.
I had one wrap; my husband had two. I went back to the salad to eat the meat that was left on my plate. Everything was delicious.
We had white chocolate coated waffers and red wine for dessert. We waited an hour after our late lunch to have dessert.
Around midnight, I was hungry, so I ate some cereal with milk. My husband had already eaten one.
And these were the highlights of my food-day. As always, I wish you all the best and hope to see you tomorrow in my or your next Food Diary entry.
Text and pictures are mine.
Thanks for the visit.

Fortunately, pita bread saved the day. It was a crazy day, @juichi, and cooking relaxes me; it's like playing (my husband takes advantage on me, lol). Thanks for the visit 🥰
