Hi, dear Steemians and SteemFoodies!

It's my DAY 8 in the Third Season of the Food Diary Game. It's Monday, and I am determined to use the leftovers, to free up space in the fridge.

I share this post in English, from the #SteemFoods community, led by @steemitfoods and @alikoc07 on the occasion of the Third Season of the Food Diary Game, now promoting Club5050, #Club75 and Club100.

50% of the rewards from this post will go to @sf-charity, in order for me to help more families benefit from medicine and food.

I have joined #Club75. Have you? Learn everything about it HERE: STEEMFOODS X CLUB75 | #club75 Tag Is Ready To Use! What Are The Rules Of The #club75 Tag?, so you can, join in!

It's easy to learn if you qualify for #Club75. You only need to check your wallet activity during the last 60 days. Also, the amount of Steems you have withdrawn during those 60 days multiplied by 3 is the minimum amount you must have powered up during those 60 days (2 calendar months).

As ususal, my food-day started early, at 6 a.m., with a good cup of strong black coffee, super hot and no sugar.

After this, I prepared breakfast. We ate arepas coated with sesame seeds, fried eggs and roasted eggplant slices.

image.png

I made flat arepas, but big enough. I use two plates or bowls to help me get the perfect coat.

My pan measures 30 cm (it's the same one I use for crepes) and I never manage to fit all three arepas (one for me, two for my husband). I need a really big budare, so I can make the arepas the way we like them, thin and big.

image.png

I prepared a dressing using finely chopped parsley and cilantro, Greek yogurt, crushed garlic, lemon, olive oil, and salt.

image.png

It was a delicious breakfast.

image.png

I had taken the tuna out to thaw it in the morning. I put water on to boil, with garlic, salt and a bay leaf, to cook the tuna in chunks. While the tuna chunks were cooling, I washed the vegetables for the salad.

image.png

I used carrot, green cabbage, red onion, cilantro, and parsley. I mixed the leftover dressing from our breakfast with leftover homemade mayonnaise and mixed it with the shredded tuna. Lemon, more crushed garlic, and that was all, really nice flavor.

image.png

I served the salad with tuna on top, and toasted pieces of pita bread. I also served leftover chicken soup from yesterday's lunch. It was 2:30 p.m.

image.png

I was happy with lunch. I really like the taste of fresh tuna in my salad.

At 9 p.m., we had cereal and milk. I used Maizoritos; it's a $1 dinner for the two bowls, or 2 Steems. It's wonderful when I'm tired at night - which I was, and very much so.

image.png

Finally, before midnight, my husband made a large quantity of herbal tea. It relaxes me and makes me sleep really well. He used a blend of santamaria and hibiscus.

As always, I wish you all the best.

Las comidas son buenas modelos para las fotos 🤭 Saludos ❤️

Hi dear @marlyncabrena I like your arepas and dressing as well .Is this bread or something like that???? Commonly seen in diary but not really know ???I am from Pakistan we bread from wheat .

Hi, @suhaleha and thank you for visiting my post.

Arepas are made from cornmeal (corn flour). We make a dough using commercial cornmeal--or cooked and ground corn kernels corn--water and salt. Then we shape the arepas and cooked them roasted, grilled or fried. Sometimes we shape them like buns and cook them in boiling water. Almost every Venezuelan eats arepas at least once during the day.

We also use cornmeal for the dough of empanadas (which is semi sweet and with a little wheat flour to help agglutination).

😊❤️

So yes. Like bread. Arepas are as popular as paratha, I guess.

Okay I understand 💖💖
I will definitely try out and shared soon
Thanks for reply my dear in detailed.🥰🥰

I want a recipe for paratha from someone who makes them often 🙈

Sure dear I will send it for you on tomorrow in food diary 💕💕

That'd be lovely. Looking forward to it :D
