It's my Day 13 in the Sixth Season of the Food Diary Game. It's Sunday and time to come back home.

My food-day started quite early, with a cup of coffee. My sister served an omelet ranchero with grated cheese and handmadebread.

I worked until noon and then came back to Cumaná. As soon as I arrived in the city, I went grocery shopping. I bought this piece of loin, the price of which I found really reasonable. I paid 11.35 for a little more than 2 kilos of good meat instead of 12$ for 1 kilo of processed ham.

When I was finally home, my husband made coffee while I prepared something to eat; call it lunch.

I was in the mood for some fresh vegetables to go with the beef. I julienned a tomato and finely chopped a red onion. I also peeled four garlic cloves to season the meat.

I crushed the garlic and rubbed it into the meat, along with salt and Worcestershire sauce.

Lo bueno del lomo es que se puede cocinar en 5 minutos. Cuando estuvo listo, tosté dos panecillos para mis sándwiches. Los monté como puedes ver abajo en la foto, con un poco de queso cheddar fundido.

I used olive oil and freshly ground black pepper as a dressing (no ketchup or mayonnaise, I didn't feel like it). Et voilà! My chubby twins for "lunch", toasted only on the inside, so that the juices from the meat and vegetables didn't make a marshmallow out of the bread.

I made my husband's with pita bread, rolled them up and heated them a bit in the oven.

For dinner, we weren't very hungry, and I didn't really feel like doing anything, so I looked for a spice mix that a Lebanese friend of mine gave me; I've forgotten what it was called because the packaging was written in Lebanese and my memory didn't register it, apparently. It's a mixture of seeds, nuts, pistachio and other things; it's very tasty and aromatic. My friend told me that I could mix it with olive oil and rub it on pita bread. I could also put oregano or yogurt on it, among other things.

I served the mixture on bread and also served some slices of palmito cheese. My husband made tea and brought roasted peanuts from the kitchen table. We were at ease and the dinner was really nice.

Amiga me encanto los enrollados con pan de pita, se ven muy ricos. Tienes un gran estilo para preparar las comidad.

Los enrolladitos visitan mucho por aquí. Siempre digo que el pan pita es un excelente aliado en la cocina y lo mejor es que el que compramos acá es muy bueno porque sale fresco de la panadería árabe del centro de la ciudad. Gracias por tu agradable visita, @alicargofer :)
