Hi, dear Steemians and SteemFoodies!

It's my Day 7 in the Sixth Season of the Food Diary Game. It's Monday, and I have made my special eggplant dip from scratch today :)

My food-day started with hot black coffee, as usual.

For breakfast, I fried the fish my comadre brought me yesterday.

I served it with arepas and avocado slices.

Then I made a vanilla cake with chocolate and candied cherries. I like to put some lemon zest, too, to enhance the flavor.

I used my 18'' pyrex to bake it.

It was ready in 30 minutes at 300 degrees F.

I served some to my sisters who came to visit us. I also served latte to go with it.

And after lunch, we had some, too.

I made oregano bread buns for dinner.

I made the preferment in an airtight container and then let the dough rise right there. I do this to prick the dough every half hour as it rises and then assemble the loaves, without the need to knead.

I made chicken schnitzels for the filling.

I breaded the breast fillets, which were already marinated with garlic and salt. I coated them in wheat flour, then in beaten egg and finally, in crushed corn flakes.

I also added some cheddar cheese on top of the chicken.

I had a busy day in the kitchen, so I was tired. I had some coffee to help me stay awake as I watched a movie (it was a bad movie, by the way).

Amiga @marlyncabrera demasiado rico todo, comer pescado, el pastel y luego la cena de lujo, fue mucho trabajo pero valio la pena el disfrute en el paladar. Feliz día.

Disfruto mucho cocinar, solo que necesito un masoterapeuta aquí en la casa --y que trabaje ad honorem, ja, ja, ja--, para días como éste; creo que el cansancio tiene que ver mucho con secuelas del Covid19 que tal vez tarden meses --o años-- en desaparecer.
Como ya debes saber, lo que disfruté más hoy fue comer pescado en el desayuno. Gracias por la visita, @alicargofer :D
