Hello everyone here in SteemFoods Community!
How are you all? Hope you're good, safe and healthy despite of the pandemic. We are not sure when this ends but we have to keep fighting. Prayers to all to be more brave to face this problem of ours.
Today, I will be sharing with you on how I cook my "Milky and Cheesy Banana Saba". Actually, the ingredients I used is not the exact ingredients for this recipe, I just used the substitute that I have in stock. To make this recipe works and looks exactly the original one I came up with this substitute I know will do.
I didn't buy my Nestle ingredient for this recipe of mine because I just got it from my friend. She gave me a Nestle brand milk and it's a perfect timing for this contest. So, here it is.
These are the list of ingredients:
- 2 cups Nestle full cream milk
- 13 pcs boiled banana saba
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 small pack eden cheese
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Procedure:
- Slice the banana saba according to your preferred size. You can have it in circle, strips, or even whole. Because we are four in the family so it's better to cut it in many pieces. I sliced it in thin circles. After slicing, set it aside.
- Grate the cheese and set aside for later.
- Dissolving cornstrach in water. In 1/4 cup of water put 1 tablespoon of water. Mix until cornstarch is completely dissolved.
- Get a pan and pour the Nestle Full Cream Milk. Do not turn on the fire yet. Let's mix some ingredients first
- Add brown sugar into the milk. This is my substitute for the condensed milk. To sweeten the recipe.
- Let's now add the dissloved corntarch unto the milk mixture. This will make the recipe sticky or thicken and to become even more milkier.
- Mix it well until sugar melt.
- Then it's time to turn on the fire in a low to medium setting. Not to a high setting because it can burn your mixture.
- Stir or mix until the mixture boil.
- When boils, add the sliced banana saba.
- Mix and simmer until it becomes sticky. You can also cover it but you have to mix it ocassionally or every two minutes to avoid burning of ingredients.
- When it's already thickened or sticky, transfer it to a clean serving dish.
- Sprinkle it with grated cheese. Chill for an hour or more because it is best serve when cool.
And done!
Milky and cheesy banana saba desert is ready!
Have a happy and full tummy. This is all for my recipe for today and as my entry for the contest.
Thank you for having time reading my post. Have a great time. See you again on my next cooking adventure.
Gid bless and more power!
