Every Sunday is a rice from this side of the world. It's either rice and stew, coconut rice, concortion rice, fried rice, or any kind of rice...lol
Today, I will share with you how I cooked my first fried rice.
Fried rice, fried plantain, salad, and chicken.
Ingredients:
Curry
Thyme
Tumeric
Onion leaves
Green beans
Sausage
Carrots
Chicken
Salt
Green pepper
Groundnut oil
Seasoning cubes
Parboiled rice
Preparation:
(Fried rice:) Add adequate quantity of groundnut oil into cooking pot. Add a pinch of salt, onions, tumeric powder, and curry powder into hot oil. Stir and pour in your parboiled rice and stir till it mixes properly. Add seasoning cubes and stock water, stir and cover the pot. Allow to heat for 5 minutes. Then, pour sliced vegetables ( carrots, green pepper, onion leaves, peas) and stir properly.
(Salad:) slice/cut carrots, cabbage, sweet corn, peas. Mix together. Serve with mayonnaise (optional)
(Plantain:) Slice plantain and deep fry with groundnut oil.
(Chicken:) wash properly and put into a pot. Add thyme, curry, dry pepper, salt, seasoning cubes, and onions and water (adequate quantity). Leave to steam for 15 minutes. Then, deep fry in a hot groundnut oil.
