Greetings my dear friends of the #SteemFoods community. This recipe has been prepared with the protagonist of a tropical fruit known as lechoza or papaya (Carica papaya), it is a fruit that has a rich composition of nutrients, in addition to its freshness and delicious flavor. In this opportunity I will show you step by step how I make this traditional homemade candy. One of the dates in which its preparation is common in Venezuela, is for Easter or for the Christmas season.

This sweet is nothing more than a preserved fruit, in a syrup with sugar and panela. Here is the list of ingredients:

An incision is made in the bark of the lechoza, so that it loses a whitish substance that causes itching in the hands when in direct contact.

First of all, we must wash the fruits very well to avoid contamination by external agents.

After washing the fruits, the peel is removed.

Cut into medium-sized pieces for easy handling.

Then the lechoza can be cut in any way you want, for example in cubes, thin slices or as in this case striped to obtain a thinner cut. While the pineapple was cut into small cubes so that it will keep its shape during cooking.

The chopped fruit is then placed in a pot and the sugar, spices and panela are added. Then it is cooked for about an hour, until it takes a bright golden color.

Once cooked, let it cool and serve the necessary portions. It is important to mention that the pineapple adds a touch of acidity and flavor that makes this recipe more appetizing.

It has been a pleasure to share the recipe of the delicious dulce de lechoza with pineapple which I enjoyed with my family, I hope you can have the pleasure of making it, it is easy and economical. See you next time.

Besides presenting the recipe I want to thank @steemfoods and @alikoc07 for allowing me to be part of the community, in which we can expand our knowledge in the culinary art.
