Add some more water and stir. This is to make sure it doesn't have the raw taste.

LUNCH

For lunch the family ate our traditional meal called "nang tare". This is my best African dish. I love it because of its taste and it's natural too. You don't need to add extra spices to prepare it. In my tradition this is a special meal prepared mostly for born houses ( birth of a new baby), death traditional weddings, as a sign of respect and value when you prepare it and visit someone, death celebration and other traditional feast. I have been wanting to eat this meal for days now so I decided we all eat this meal today. Here's the process below.

INGREDIENTS

• Cocoyam
• Meat
• Palm oil
• Bitter leaf
• Maggi and salt
• Pepper

IMG_20210905_113438.jpg enjoying my food

Since this is a traditional meal it is best eaten with the hands as it is believed to have more taste than eating with spoons. I bet you you will want to add more when you eat it like we do.

PLUMES

As part of the food I made some fried plumes to accompany the food. This is the rainy season and plumes is one of my favorite fruit which I eat with everything thing.

I washed my plumes, put in a frying pan, add small water, place on the stove and fry.

I constant shake the frying pan to turn the sides of the plumes. Frying is done until cracks appear on the plumes, then the plumes is ready.

Remove and serve along with the food.
