Hello everyone! Good evening to all! I hope you are doing well!
Tonight we are having a Tinolang Manok for dinner. Have you heard of dish before?
If you have been here in the Philippines before, you might have heard about this dish and you might also tasted it. What can you say about it?
Tinola is a meat stew with green papaya or you can use chayote as a substitute for papaya. There are many kinds of tinola it depends on the meat your gonna use. For tonight we are going to use chicken.
Here are the simple things we need to cook this dish.
Chicken meat, this is a native chicken that we raised at our backyard. It's like an organic chicken.
We also need some spices.
Onion and Ginger cut into pieces.
If you have lemon grass, you can also include it.
Lastly the papaya or chayote, any of the two.
Here are the procedure how to cook this dish.
First, you need to saute the spices.
Then you can add the chicken meat.
After it is sauteed, you can now add water and the lemon grass.
Then let it simmer.
If chicken meat is already cooked you can now add the chayote or papaya. This time we are going to use chayote because we didn't have papaya.
If you also have ampalaya leaves or moringa leaves you can also put some in it.
When everything is cooked, can now serve and enjoy a delicious Tinolang manok soup with some vegetables.
I'm hungry! Let's eat!
Thank you for stopping by!
Hope you like the Tinolang manok
Maraming salamat!😁
