Cooking steaks in a cast iron pan

I have been working from home for about 1 year. I prefer fast, simple and delicious meals to make good use of lunch breaks.

I would like to share my experience of cooking a simple meat that takes a maximum of 10 minutes to prepare and cook.

  • I prefer steak meat because it is lean. The meat must be fresh and rested at room temperature. When I wake up in the morning, I take the meat out of the fridge to rest.

  • 5-10 minutes before cooking, I season it with olive oil + salt + black pepper. Black pepper can irritate your stomach, don't add it if you want.

  • Cook your cast iron pan as high as possible.

  • Cook each side for 1 minute. If your flesh is thick, you can cook it for 2 minutes, but be careful not to burn.

  • And the meal is ready, bon appetit. (It happened to me)
