"GISADONG AMPALAYA" - Lutong Bahay Style

Olah steemians! How are you? I pray that you all doing great and safe.

I have been very busy lately and sometimes can no longer prepare nice meals. So today my husband ask a favor to cook one of his favorite dishes - "Gisadong Ampalaya" (Stirred Fry Bitter Gourd). I love to cook this for him because it is very low in sugar, and a lot of scientific studies that bitter gourd helps lower blood sugar.

So let me share to you my own version of "Gisadong Ampalaya". Let's get started!

Here's what you need.

Ingredients

3 pcs medium size Bitter Gourd
3 pcs large sized egg
1 onion
1 ripe medium sized tomato
6 pcs glove of garlic
8 sheets of cooked ham
1/4 cup of oil
3 table spoon of soy sauce (as salt alternative)
pinched of ground black pepper

Procedure how to cook my "Gisadong Ampaplaya"

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients and clean with potable water.
Step 2: Clean the spices - onion, tomato and garlic. Remove the following: first pulp of onion, the skin of garlic and seeds of the tomato. and Sliced it into bite size.
Step 3: Slice the sheets of cooked ham into bite - size square.

Step 4: Get the clean bitter gourd and remove its seeds, sliced into bite - sized as well.

Step 5: Crack and beat the eggs.

Step 7: Preheat the pan and put oil on it.

Step 8: Sauté the spices - onion, garlic and tomato. Do not over sauté.

Step : 9 Place the cut cooked ham in the pan and stir for about a minute.

Step 10: Place the bitter gourd in the pan and stir slowly for about 2 minutes. Do not overcooked the bitter gourd for it will give much bitter taste.

Step 11: Pour the soy sauce.

Step 12: Pour the beaten egg in the pan and stir slowly until egg is cooked.

Step: 13: Sprinkle with pepper.

Viola! Your "Gisadong Ampalaya" is ready to serve.
