In the morning I woke up when I heard the sound of the Koran in the mosque, my house is very close to the mosque. After the Koran and the dawn call to prayer echoed and I immediately took a bath and prayed at dawn.
After the dawn prayer, I hurriedly cleaned the house and outside the house.
After cleaning up all that I help my sister take care of my niece

After taking care of my nephew, I rushed to get the chicken that my mother had bought this morning.
For me to cook CHICKEN REndang

before cooking I wash the chicken and remove all the fat so that the rendang doesn't smell rancid.

After I washed the chicken, then I put in the lime, salt and 5 cloves of garlic that were already finely chopped and then stirred

After that, I fried the chicken so it wouldn't be too soft and crumble
Since cooking rendang is long

Chicken, cut into 15 pieces - 2 kg
Grated coconut, don't throw away the coconut water because it can be used as a substitute for sugar

INGREDIENTS

Lemongrass - 3 sticks
Galangal, bruised - 3 cm
Bay leaf - 3 pieces
Citrus leaves - 5 pieces
Turmeric leaves - 1 sheet
Cinnamon - 3 cm
Cloves - 2 grains
Kandis acid - 2 grains
Salt - 2 tsp
Coconut milk - 1 liter
Oil, for frying - to taste

GROUND SPICES
ACCORDING TO EACH SPICE:

Garlic - 8 cloves
Shallots - 12 cloves
Curly red chili - 32 pieces
Small chilies - 11 pieces
Pecan - 4 pieces
Ginger - 3 cm
Turmeric - 3 cm
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Nutmeg powder - 1/2 tsp

FIRST STEP CHICKEN REndang

  • Heat a little cooking oil. Stir-fry the spices until fragrant.
    -Pour coconut milk little by little. Stir well and cook until the water is bubbling
    -Add lemongrass, galangal, all leaf spices, cinnamon, cloves, and kandis acid. Stir well.
    -Add chicken and salt. Stir well and cook until the chicken changes color

The cooking time of rendang can be adjusted to the desired level of doneness according to taste. Like rendang that is still wet, the water runs out, or is completely dry

Wait until the water recedes and is completely dry
Then serve the chicken rendang

Kelihatannya enak sekali, tapi ingat tampilan bisa saja mengkhianati rasa. Namun tampilan yang luar biasa bisa menutupi rasa yang kurang memuaskan, Kembali lagi pada cita rasa selamat bekerja, Salam makan-makan SteemFoods!
