Greetings macro photography lovers, from the Steem Lens community. Today I want to share with you my experience in the seventh edition of the Macrophotography Contest. The subject I chose was nothing more and nothing less than a Californian red worm moving on a mirror.

It turns out that I raise California red worms to obtain solid and liquid humus. I captured an worm from the field to capture it in my studio curled up on itself, moving with curiosity and exploring with its mouth.

I used my UMIDIGI cell phone with its A7S camera in macro mode, with 2X magnification. I took advantage of the natural light and placed my worm model on a mirror with a little water to maintain its humidity. I got this amazing image showing their behavior. Then, I did basic post editing of the framing, cropping and improving the lighting and sharpness with the Microsoft Windows Photos app.

It is simply fascinating to observe the behavior of worms and how they move. They are small but powerful, and they teach us the importance of exploring our environment and maintaining that curiosity that drives us to discover new things.
