Hello, steemians!
For this post, I would like to show you another model kit review video. This is a review of the 1/72 scale kit for the Lockheed Hudson airplane, as produced by the Airfix model company. From what I could find on line, the box art indicates that this kit was produced sometime between 1966 and 1968. Production of the Airfix Lockheed Hudson kit started in 1963 and may still be in production.
The actual Lockheed Hudson airplane was built by the Lockheed corporation starting in 1938, having been developed from an earlier passenger plane. The Hudson was used by the British Royal Air Force, starting before the beginning of WW2 for coastal reconnaissance and light bomber duties. During the war, it was also used for training and transport duties. Over the course of the war, the Hudson aircraft sunk several German submarines. The Hudson was used by the Royal Air Force, the Canadian Air Force, the Australian Air Force, and the U.S. Army Air Force during the war. A total of 2941 Hudsons of various types were built. Many of them survived the war and went on to be civilian transport and passenger planes, primarily in Australia and New Zealand.
Here is my video review of this airplane kit. The video is about 8 minutes long.
I hope you found this model kit review interesting!
