Traditional marriage of my sister

Hello everyonein STEEM Alliance, Happy new year. Thursday was my sister's traditional marriage. Here in Akwa Ibom State. A traditional marriage is regarded as the most important part of marriage. The church wedding is just a flavor or spice.

Early that morning, we woke up very early to put things in place. We tidied the compound and arranged things. After which I went to where we booked drinks and ensure that all the drinks were ready.

Not long, the Live band we hired brought the equipment and started the connection. Seven big canopies were brought with plenty seats. All were installed and chairs were nicely arranged in place. It was a great day.

The cooking arena was a remarkable one. The ladies were jam-packed doing different things. Some slice Afang a popular soup in Akwa Ibom State during event. Different foods were prepared some of them were: Jollof rice, Fried rice, Coconut rice, Afang soup, White soup, Plantain with plenty of other delicacies too numerous to mention.

Palm wine and other assorted drinks were chilled. The bang people started playing different melodies to keep the atmosphere high. People started coming in with different attire, some appeared on the color of the day which was Peach, gold, pink, green, white etc.

The compound was filled to the brim and the MC picked up the microphone and set the tone for the event. He spoke at length before he ordered the food to be shared to the visitors. Everyone ate to satisfaction.
Thereafter, he requested the presence of the bride's parents. The crowd stood up and danced the parents to their seats

Shortly after the parents came in a few introductions and greetings were made. The MC requested the presence of the Groom. Once again the crowd went in number and March in the Groom.

Lastly the bride was marched in and this is where all the dance was done. It was very funny because my sister couldn't dance as much as her husband.
