Announcing Hindwitness Responsibilities & Plans

Namaste Steem Family,

Thanks to all the people who have voted for our witness, because of all your witness votes we have been placed in the top 170 witness list, giving us a head start.

We would also like to thank @rexthetech for helping us in setting up our witness node. Having been able to learn so much from them about the witness node administration, we would also like to thank them for that.

Our job as witnesses is to ensure that the Steem blockchain and its users are secured and the blockchain runs without any hiccups

Having started our witness node with a specific goal in mind, our goal isn't just to be on the top list, but also to achieve our goals and we have a particular road map in place to get there.

Why did we start the @hindwitness?

By creating the @hindwitness witness node, we aim to build trust with community members working with us on the Steem blockchain and show people that we are committed to the blockchain and that we are in it for the long term.

Our goal is to give back to the community by building resources, whether it be Steem Power in our own account or applications that our members can use to interact with the Steem blockchain.

Furthermore, another important mission we want to take on is to do positive marketing through multiple channels for the Steem blockchain and its applications. Our goal is to generate the best possible result from the marketing campaign for the Steem blockchain by using the best tools available to us.

Our Responsibilities

I believe that there are no better words to describe the witness role on the Steem blockchain because while they have so much power, they are also given a great deal of responsibility as well.

We also know that as a witness, we have a lot of responsibilities that we must fulfill. Among these responsibilities, the first one that we are responsible for is maintaining our witness node on the network.

As far as the other responsibilities go, they are somewhat chosen by us for ourselves, and they are as follows:

1. Provide onboarding assistance to newcomers with a specific goal in mind (not just money-making).

2. It is important that we provide newcomers with some basic resources to help them get started on the Steem blockchain, whether that is a sufficient amount of Steem Power for them to interact with the blockchain or some informative materials that will help them to understand the ecosystem better.

3. Develop best-in-class marketing materials for promoting Steem blockchain on all the platforms that can help us in getting a positive reputation in the marketplace for our model of social media platform on the blockchain.

4. Our goal is to build the best-in-class decentralized applications on top of the Steem blockchain in order to allow users to interact with the blockchain with no hiccups or glitches.

5. We aim to provide support to all Steem blockchain members so that they can depend on us to grow their Steem accounts and help them to meet their goals on the blockchain.

As we carry on doing our work for the people of the Steem blockchain in addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, we will try to add to this list as we go along.

Our Witness Rewards Usage Plan:

It is our primary objective to use the Steem Power we build during our witness run for the benefit of Steem users. In order to accomplish this goal, we will first use Steem power to provide enough resources to newcomers so that they can interact with the blockchain, thus creating a more engaging environment on the blockchain. A method for achieving this would be to delegate Steem Power to newcomers.

As a next step, we will utilize the Steem power we have gathered to curate good-quality posts made by Steemit users in order to support their work.

We will also pay our developers who will be collaborating with us to build decentralized applications on the Steem blockchain. It is our intention to develop applications on the Steem blockchain that users will primarily use to interact with the blockchain.

Our Plans For Decentralized Steem-based Applications:

The first application that we are developing is a front-end application that will allow users of the Steem blockchain to interact with it. A number of features will be available in this application, including a profile-specific analytics page and a general Steem Analytics page.

It is our primary objective with this frontend application to provide better guidance to newcomers through well-designed milestone-based pages. As a result, newcomers to the Steem blockchain will know exactly what they should do next to become accepted by the community when they begin their journey on the Steem blockchain.

Moreover, we plan to launch an exchange platform that will enable users to exchange their Steem tokens for fiat and fiat for Steem tokens at any time.

In order to maintain transparency regarding the work we do on the Steem blockchain, any work we undertake will be documented in an informative blog post for all to see. Furthermore, we wish to establish and maintain our reputation on the platform, so we will never take on any projects that could negatively impact our reputation.

I (@cryptogecko) have been active on the Steemit platform since its inception, and therefore I am familiar with the pain points we face, and we will work to resolve them through a holistic approach that will make our blockchain more efficient. In order to achieve our goals, we will strive to bring out our best, connect with everyone, and work collaboratively. Moreover, we believe that successful outcomes are made possible by the bond of mutual cooperation and the exchange of experience.

We are very serious about our stance against people who are active on both the Steem and Hive chains (Steem and Hive), and we will always focus our resources and energy on the Steem blockchain-related activities only and not on anything else. The Steem blockchain is always going to be the central focus of our efforts. We pledge to never shift our effort to any other chain that is trying to be anything similar to the Steem blockchain and never transfer our focus there.

Update Feed Price

When our witness node was first established, we intended to complete all the tasks before announcing it to the general public. It is with great pleasure that we announce that our witness node has been running for a week and we have not encountered any problems. No errors were observed in the witness node during the time we closely monitored it.

Similarly, the price feed function has been running smoothly and our witness node has been publishing the price feed on an hourly basis.
