Proof of authority

Proof of authority is an interesting topic to discuss so I am exploring it deeply and sharing it with you.

Proof of authority is defined as an evidence which make someone expertise in its particular area knowledge and credibility also in its particular area.It is very significant because it is a great way of developing trust and confidence in that data which is provided by a particular person. There could be different ways of demonstration of authorities of different individuals that I am explaining here;

Education and Qualifications

There is one of the most significant and important way for the establishment of authority and it is true education and qualifications as it is also indicated by my heading. When we obtain any degree any certificate or any licence then it shows that we have knowledge and we are expert about a particular field so if I give an example then if we say that there is a doctor and he or she has magical degree then it means that he had an authority and right to diagnose of patient and to implement his intervention according to his understanding.

Professional Experience

For the establishment of authority we can consider practical experience in a particular field also because experience have a direct relation with developing understanding on a specific matter so you can say that the mode a person is experienced the more he is able to know how understanding of his subject matter. If I give an example then we can say that if there is Crypto expert who have knowledge and expertise related to cryptocurrencies and marking fluctuations then he can make good decisions and good investment strategies.

Publications and Research

When I talk about publishment of different articles or different research papers in journal which have good reputation then it can also establish authority and it is the description of a person who have conducted a deep analysis and research and now he have good insights to show his contribution towards his particular field. If I give an example then I can say in simple words that if there is a psychologist who wants to publish research and he takes a topic of children development to make a research on it then after research he would have authority to provide guidance to parents being a psychologist.

Awards and Recognitions

When you receive award from a recognised and well known organisation or any institute then it also develop a sense of authority because this level of respect is another name of raising awareness about individual expertise and values in his peers and companions. If I given example then I can say that if there is a scientist who have received price from well known organisation due to his Noble work in his subject then he would have an authority in overall scientific community.

That was explanation of proof of authority in laymann's language and now I want to explain that how it can implemented in cryptocurrency.

Roof of authority in cryptocurrency and in blockchain is defined as consensus mechanism and instead of it's reliance on proof of work and proof of stake algorithms proof of authority relies upon some particular and selected group of validators that have more authority for verification of transactions and for creation of new blocks.

Validators are very trustworthy individuals in a particular network or blockchain because they have a lot of responsibility in the maintenance of integrity security and privacy of a blockchain by the verification of transactions and by adding these transactions into the ledger. Validators in proof of authority are choose on the base of reputation what they have and on the base of expertise and knowledge what they have.

Ethereum is blockchain which is using proof of authority and when I talk about validators at this network then they are individuals like developers exchanges or that organisations that have authority in the verification and validation of transactions so this is a consensus mechanism which is permitting for more faster transaction times and more scalability as compared to other consensus mechanism following Blockchain.

That was all about my explanation about proof of authority so I want to say that proof of authority is one of the different consensus mechanism that are used in crypto world and when I talk about different consensus mechanism then I can say that everyone is unique in their own way with their own advantages and trade off so choice of consensus mechanism should be always depend upon goal and requirement of blockchain network which you are using.
