My preparation for offline steemit promotion

I'm delighted to see you all once again on my blog today. Steemit promotion is one aspect that I love so much because, without it, I won't be here today. I'm grateful to my friend @jueco for organizing such a wonderful contest in this community today.

Based on the tips of the contest, I will be providing some answers to the best of my knowledge on the topic under consideration which is the offline steemit promotion. Recall that previously, we discuss the online steemit promotion and today we are looking at the offline part of the promotion.

As I have earlier explained in my previous article, promotion can be seen as a means of creating awareness about a said product or a company. This promotion can be done online or offline.

In the case of the steemit platform, steemit promotion is a means of making known the platform to users who have no idea about it before. As I said earlier, this can be done online or offline. I will be explaining the difference between both below for more understanding.

Offline steemit promotion is a means where you meet people in real life and tell them about the steemit platform either one on one, seminar meeting, normal gathering etc. The basic summary here is that you will have to see the people you are promoting steemit to physically.

On the other hand, online steemit promotion is the direct opposite of offline steemit promotion I.e you don't get to see the people you are promoting the platform in real life and this type of promotion can be done via other social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp etc.

As I have said earlier the difference between both is that online you won't see people physically as you guys may not be in the same place but offline, you will meet physically with each other and then see everything from the person promoting the platform to you.

To effectively carry out an offline promotion, you will need a banner for awareness and stickers as well. Since you are meeting people physically to tell them about the platform, a simple guide should be attached that will help guide them even when you are not present.

The banner should also be kept in a strategic area where everyone can easily see it and come for the program. On several occasions, I have attended seminars I never knew about but just by seeing the banner I went into the event and gained a whole lot.

More also, it is important if the promoter will have things to share with those who come for the seminar such as T-shirts, Caps, Books, pens etc. All of these items should be branded with the logo of the steemit platform and possibly the web address to lead people to the site.

Yes, on several occasions I have engaged in an offline steemit promotion. As I have said earlier, promoting steemit is what I love to do most because without I won't be here on this platform today as well.

Recently, I organised a seminar myself, @josepha and @dave-hanny where we went to educate the IT students of the college of education here in Akwanaga about the steemit platform. The program was indeed a wonderful one and it ended in praise.

Though with the program, I notice a lot of things which have limited my going ahead with the promotion for the main time. At the point of introducing the platform, we dressed in the steemit promo t-shirt which most of them are wishing to have.

More also, most of them don't have a smartphone to enable them to sign in to the platform and that became a big challenge for us as it limited the work we were doing.

Those who we were able to sign into the platform at some point too stopped blogging because they claim they don't get much support. I have always advised them via the group we created that they can't make it at once so only two or three are still consistent and they are getting little support for now.

Based on how the system is currently, I will only recommend an offline promotion to users of the steemit platform and the reason for this is not far-fetched. We have seen more and more new users coming into the platform daily and the resources are limited.

Currently, the SC09 used to support new users can not cover more than 50-70 accounts daily and every day, more than 1-2k new users post an article on the steemit platform. It will be difficult to promote the steemit platform and guide those who are not with you on the platform.

More people may indeed get to know about the platform via online promotion but they may not stay much longer on the platform if they don't meet someone who will continue to guide and direct them. I think the offline promotion strategy is more effective as it will help users to stand the test of time.

Both online and offline promotions are good ways we can make the steemit platform well known. I recommend offline promotion because of how the system is changing daily. The offline will go a long way in explaining more clearly all that is needed to keep users more active on the platform.
