Greetings and welcome to another exciting week to show love to our bodies. Am glad to be here again. In the previous week we saw how to exercise our body through running in place and aerobic dance and it was an interesting time and this week we are looking at shadow boxing and arm circles.

Excercise is a very important part of our life and it’s immense benefits cannot be over emphasized. So without much ado, join me on this weeks shadow boxing and arm circle exercises.

Shadow boxing

In shadow boxing, we mimick actual boxing but in this case, we are dealing with an imaginary opponent and hence we throw our punches to the air with our legs apart which makes for stamina. Shadow boxing is an interesting cadiovacar excessive and it helps to improve our stamina, concentration and focus.

For this I carried out forty punches to my front with both arms, forty punches to my sides and forty punches upwards. I rested for 10seconds and repeated the forty punches each for the front, side and upward punches.

Arm circles

This may seem easy but it’s quite tricky and requires a lot of stamina and endurance to finish. I did this by spreading my arms apart and my legs apart with my arms stretched out to my two sides. I did arm circles of forty circles reach for clock wise and anti-clockwise directions, rested for 10 seconds and repeated the forty circles each again.

At the end of the program, what is the overall feelings and where did you feel the pains the most?

I had to muster the courage to do this exercises especially the arm circles. It may feel very easy for it requires a lot of endurance. When I did the first round it was somehow easy even though my shoulders and biceps and triceps really felt the impact. The 10 seconds rest helped but the second lap was quite challenging. I thought I was going to stop along the way because of the pains I felt in my shoulder and my arms and it felt as if my fingers were freezing up a bit but I persevered and finished up the entire excercise and I was happy I pulled through.

The shadow boxing was demanding too and I felt the pains on my shoulder, sides and chest especially during the side punches and the upward punches. The second round was more challenging too but At the end of the whole excercise, I felt relieved and the muscles relaxation in the areas that were excercised.

Do you think shadow boxing and arm circle are good for you and will you recommend it for others?

Yes, these group of exercises are very beneficial and works on target muscles in our body. A combination of both exercises helps to strengthen, control and enhance the muscles of the upper body inclusive of the shoulder muscles which is the main focus for shadow boxing.

The punches helps to strengthen the biceps and triceps as they are needed in throwing punches and this helps to improve their coordination.
The pectoral muscles of the chest are also worked on during shadow boxing which helps to build the strength of the upper body while the arm circles strengthens the shoulders and it’s surrounding muscles giving them flexibility and strength.

They make for stamina, strength, and coordination in general therefore I will recommend it to others.
