Salutations to great Steemit community! I'm so happy to return for Steemit Learning Challenge Season 23 after a short holdup break. Being a fitness enthusiast, I'm really thrilled and happy to see exercise being featured again in this Learning challenge Season.


Why i love exercising so much,is the fact that regular physical activity is so necessary and important to our overall health. I can testify that it gives me energy and proper focus in my daily activities, allowing me to be active on my overall wellbeing.


Here in this Week 1 we just entered, we are handling Cardiovascular exercises, which are illustrated in the lesson and its videos. And I will do well to follow the lesson task.
No time to waste so lets begin.!


What is Cardiovascular Exercise?


However,let me lighten up my knowledge from the lesson post, **cardiovascular exercise, or cardio or aerobic exercise is that type of exercise or activity that will raises up our heart rate and keeps it that way for a longer period of time. Honestly,My own favorite cardio exercises are running in place, swimming and aerobic dance. Why are choose them is because,these exercise are repetitive and rhythmic exercises that work on our muscle, which makes the heart, lungs, and respiratory system more functional.


Why is Cardiovascular Exercise Important?


Here's why they are so important:*

  • Running in place and aerobic dance strengthen the heart, making it more efficient and effective at pumping blood, and reduce the gurantee of having heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke.

  • Regular cardio burns calories and also it is an excellent way of losing or maintaining our weight.

  • These exercises make the lungs more stronger, and allowing it to take in more oxygen and improve respiratory function.

  • Regular cardio exercises also reduces stress, anxiety, and depression while improving anyone with good mood and overall mental well-being.

  • Cardio can certainly help anyone sleep faster and sleep more deeply than when cardio exercise was not made a part of daily life routine.


Cardio Targeting Programs


The two given cardio programs I came to know through the lesson are:

1.Running in Place: Running in place is the best exercise to get the heart rate up to a high point without needing a lot of space and strength. It is an effective exercise that enhances cardiovascular strength and endurance by just standing in one particular position lifting up the leg and running but still in same position.

2.Aerobic Dance: Aerobic dance in this type of exercise we combine lovely sweet music and movement,this method makes cardio very fun and engaging to perform for everyone, even the little children or anybody that doesn't or feel discouraged in excercise. This the best option for them.

I do different routines that consist of various dance steps, keeping my heart rate up throughout the exercise.Below is the breakdown of the cardio exercises that I did this week, together with the duration and resting periods. You can also watch my video presentation below:

How Did You Feel as You Performed the Programs? Did It Develop Greater Endurance in You? Explain.

However, when I was doing the running in place exercise, I felt very energetic and active as if I am doing warm ups for football match. What I liked about this running in place exercise is that I didn't have to run through the whole place like normal running rather the slow running in one position helped me keep going without getting extremely tired. While I was doing the excercise I noticed my heart rate rising, and even though I started breathing heavily, I kept going until the minute ended, since I was enjoying doing it.

For the aerobic dance it was more difficult than the running in place. It pushed my endurance to the limit, and I liked the challenge.. Could you believe that i was sweating so much that I could not believe I could sweat that much, because even in normal running I don't sweat that much. Funny me, sweat was all over my body from head to toe like I just came out of the bathroom,my heart was beating and pumping even faster, and it was like I was doing diamond push-ups or abs exercise. Although I started to gasp and look for air to breathe after 1 minutes, I didn't mind it,i went on until I finished the last 1 minutes and 50 seconds. I laughed at myself after realizing that I courageously managed to make it through.

These exercises impacted my endurance a lot. I've built up my leg and hand endurance or let me just say stamina, and I am now confident that I can do this exercise as my daily routine too,even adding up the minutes of both programs without having some rest.

How Did These Programs Impact Your Mental Health?

Without considering much what to write, this programs impacted my mental health in a positive way. I am more flexible and active now than when I was not doing the two exercises. Earlier in the morning I feel so low and weak, sad, depressed, and worried I wasn't even able to post any single Post here on steemit because my mental health was not stable. There was no appetite for me to eat.. I was concerned about how I could restore my body health because both malaria and typhoid fever had just kept me in the hospital for two weeks. However, after the exercise, I can confidently stand on ground to testify that I was so hungry and at the same Time sleep was battling with my eyes. I even yawned for sleep while eating. It's like a magic, because I don't always feel sleepy. But today the sleep as came in full percentage.Something that I haven't seen happening for a long time. When I woke up depression gone, sadness gone, worries gone and my mental health is stable again. Is this not me creating a content???!
Honestly, I must say that this really proves that the exercises had a positive effect on my mental health.

So in all, I still choose cardiovascular exercises as my best exercise. Adding running in place and aerobic dance to my daily routine other cardio exercise like swimming etc,will be a really good step for me toward a healthier and happier life of a lifetime. These exercises will really helps my heart to be more powerful and body in a unique and moderate eye-catching top shape.
