"What do you think about euthanasia"?

Euthanasia Explained

To start with,I must confess that this is my first time of hearing something like this. I never knew something like this existed,all thanks to Steemit

Euthanasia in it's simplest meaning can be seen as a deliberate Medical intervention which is aimed at ending a person's life in other to relieve the person from unbearable pains and suffering. In other words,it can be referred to as Mercy Killing. There are different types of euthanasia which are voluntary where the person in question is aware of what is going to happen and then again we have the non-voluntary euthanasia where the person in question is not able to provide consent. Then lastly we also have the involuntary euthanasia where it's carried out against the patients will.

There are so many reasons for euthanasia but there's a common reason for considering it. Though it varries but the most common motivation for it Is terminal illness with no chance of recovery, unbearable pains and discomfort and also the loss of quality of life.

Now,the process of euthanasia involves a patient request and consent,then medical evaluation and diagnosis confirmation, there's also the discussion of alternatives and lastly the administration of medication which can be oral or intravenous. Though different cultures and religion hold different views on euthanasia which ranges from acceptance and condemnation but in all this, euthanasia remains a complex, deeply, personal and highly debated issue which requires careful consideration and personal perspective.
