Introduction

Thanks to Boylikegirl club for this beautiful contest. It's an opportunity once again to air my view on this topic. It's a topic that has got so many people confused as to what is true or not true. Before then, let's look at the meaning of reincarnation.

Reincarnation is a belief that a person who has died has returned to the world by being delivered or being born into a family. This return is by the person changing to another body and being born into a family as a newborn baby. The baby, being another soul, is believed to have loved the family before he/she is being incarnated into that family.

The African societies, I don't know about other parts of the world. Especially the part of Nigeria where I'm from, they so much believe in reincarnation. They believe the newborn child may have the looks, behaviour or attitude of their dead relative or family members. Or just maybe it could be that the person who died, and (not necessarily a newborn baby), has the same tone of voice maybe even walk like the person who died.

However, these are the features that make people believe that the person was reborn (reincarnated).
I understand you're still particular about the big question of whether I believe in reincarnation or not.

The answer to the simple but difficult question is that I don't believe in such speculations, especially as there are no clear indications as to if such belief is true or not. But if I may tell you, I just believe that it's all myths.

I mean to believe that a dead relative who died has returned to another body. That's weird. Of course, that's because I have not read of any scientific explanation or discoveries to back up such claims. That's why it's so impossible to be true and to believe such claims.

I understand that there may be spiritual implications to that. I'll definitely tell you that, as a Christian, such beliefs are totally kicked against you. For other religions apart from the African Traditional Religion (ATR), which I may believe in reincarnation, I don't know which religion also believes in reincarnation.
