Open marriage is a choice made by some individuals who feel life is just too short to remain at one point. Due to modernity and civilisation, people have come up with different ideologies that suit their behaviours, lifestyle and thoughts.

Talking about open marriage, it is a decision that's based on an individual or personal choice. If you ask me if I support or accept such a system of marriage, I'll say no. I mean, it won't make a single sense to say that one is married, and yet he/she is flirting around with different people.
I mean, what is the essence of marriage itself if not for companionship, love and mutual respect? If it's an open marriage, then the essence of marriage will not be achieved based on my understanding of marriage. Because you'll be married, but you still go around alone or still behave like a single person.
I mean husband and wife should live together, discuss together, enjoy each other's company and have a nice time together. If the marriage is an open one, that means, you do whatever you want, and I do whatever I want, no one cares? Wow! And why did I get married?
Can I even stand the jealousy of finding out that my husband is asking another woman out or even dating her? That would be too painful for me to stand except, maybe I have no interest in such a man. If not, it's not possible to bear that.
Not just about my feelings but my faith as a Christian won't allow me to accept such marriage. The scripture has this to say:
Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. Link
I mean I can't stand such marriage. Or I'd rather remain single than be involved in open marriage.
