As far as I understand and have researched this is a process in which a patient is facilitated to die so that he can get rid of his painful disease. May he die easily. That's about it for this topic as far as I understand.
And knowing these things, I have hardened my stance if it is such a thing. If there is such a treatment, I would say that it is very wrong. Because if people are dying, by understanding their pain, kill them slowly, even if it is by their own decision. It will be murder and they are doing it themselves, so it is suicide for them.
Now how can this thing be right according to human reason? Compassion should be shown as much as if a patient is in a dangerous condition, why not treat him in such a way that he will be free from this disease and die free from this pain, then this compassion is not right, this compassion is wrong. It is a matter of taking away from someone the moment of his life even if it is against his will. He was not in the condition of decision at that time, since when did his opinion become valid.
Then if we want to show compassion, then why don't we feel compassion for the victim who is killed by an innocent person and then we are saying that don't hang the murderer, don't behead him, it is cruelty, it is not humane. Give it a chance to improve. Why? Wasn't the one he killed a human being? Did he not have the right to live? So the point is to say that these types of treatments are very wrong and are based on false empathy۔
The bottom line is that compassion should be shown where it should be shown. No such patient should be given death or any treatment that would cause him to die. For this reason, different countries have different laws regarding this treatment.
