In 1975, Dr. Raymond Moody wrote a book called Life after life in this book he coined the term near death experience. He interviewed hundred of people. After his book was published, the topic was subject of controversy. Because many people, many doctors, many scientists said that they are nothing more than dreams or hallucinations, things like that. That is the usual scientific and materialistic view. This hallucinations are created by a brain dying from low oxygen. This is ofcourse a view that consciousness is nothing more than a product of various biochemical processes in brain. This is the material point of view which is deep rooted in scientific community. It was very easy to dismiss the reports of near death experience. But today doctors and scientists who are analysing this in scientific and methodical ways.
But now what happened after death, which was always been the subject of religion is being studied by scientists by studying this near death experience. Scientists who have deeply studied the topic with open mind questioned that consciousness is a merely a byproduct of the molecules of the brain. Medical resuscitation studies the resuscitating people who have died. Today it is possible to resurrect people who died minutes or hours earlier.
The walls of silence began to crack after 1975, for the book of Dr. Raymond Moody.
I'm going to skip a bit of futher specific details .
Let me mention another experience. A woman named Michile who was shot in the neck. She was shot by her boyfriend. She said I can see myself from above as if I was hanging from the corner of the celing of the room looking down at myself. I saw several police officers and fire fighters around my body. I felt no pain. I don't feel angry upon anybody. No bad feeling. I felt so happy and complete. I felt the greatest love I jad ever felt. I thought to myself "if this is dying it's not as bad as everyone thinks it is. Then I saw a light above me it was pulling me out of the room. I felt like it was okay to let this happen, let things happen and accept whatever have to happen. The light become brighter and brighter and it was permeated my body. Body! I have no body. The body was back there, in that room. I looked up into the light. I saw a person inviting me to come to him. The person was at the end of the luminous tunnel. Then I heard a voice. I felt so good everything was so easy. Amazing she was shot in the neck.
My understanding of love changed forever. The waves of love emanated from light destroyed all the burden I carried and all the thoughts. There was no limit to this outpouring love as I came to the nature of god's love inseparable from light. The truth about who I am and who we all are is prefect love. Finally everything made sense I could only love myself because god is love, nothing but The near death experience completely changed this person's life. She described it this way.
We go beyond the time when we leave the body.and realise who we really are. This part of near death experience help us understand Karma. We are reaped by our actions. It was as if the web that is this incarnation was made of smooth silk.
So finally those who experienced and reported near-death experience they had to come back. Otherwise they could not tell us. They don't want to return but the person told them that it was not their time yet that there were other people who still needed them.

So it is an attempt of establishing the possibility of reincarnation to happen.
