It would be way to easy to simply say yes or no, but i will do it.
Yes, hypocrisy is bad. No, hypocrisy isn't good.
You might ask why ?
Simply because there isn't any situation where hypocrisy is a good option.
A lie can be a good solution sometime, example if you have kids and your dog die. You might want to say to your kids he is somewhere like in the dog paradise or say the dog simply escaped or you might explain that the dog is dead it depends of how you wanna educate your kids and how you think they will answer your says.
BUT, a little lie like this isn't even near to be like hypocrisy.
Hyopocrisy is :
The practice of professing beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold or possess; falseness.
An act or instance of such falseness.
It mean you are, fully aware what you say isn't the truth and not what you should say.
Because hypocrisy is badder because it brings false interaction.
Friend 1 : Hey, you like my new dress ?
Friend 2 : Yess it's absolutly amazing (it's disgusting)
Friend 1 : That's so nice, i wasn't sure it was cool enough know i'm sure.
In this example friend 2 could per example use the disgustingness of friend 1 dress to look better.
Even if you don't like someone dress it might be better to say you don't like it more than simply expressing the opposite of what you think just to not hurt the feelings.
A hurtfull truth hurt less than a painless lie.
This is simply based on my life and my expiriences with hypocrisy, you will probably have a slightly or completly different point of view depending on how your life happened, what experience you witnessed and if you already had to deal with hypocrisy.
In my opinion there is never a good time for hypocrisy, feel free to debat about this in the comment section : )
