How do you deal with people who speak ill of you behind your back?

Greetings everyone. This topic am about to talk on is what is going on our every day life , people talking I'll of you even when you are progressing or not.well let me share my experiences of such thing.

Sometime ago when my mom was selling in a supermarket although the place was filled with many competitors selling same thing that she also sell.

This has made the buyers to buy from different sellers, most times customer will want to come to my mom's shop and seller will drag the person to their own shop to buy.

After some months my mom became friendly with customers around the place and they started buying from my mom's shop.

Immediately problem started coming , other sellers started saying ill words to my mom .

Well I told my mom she should ignore and focus on making her business grow.

It's very painful to see people speaking ill about and the annoying part is that is people that much trust in, and they end up giving you bad name and reputation .

Set boundaries:by setting your boundaries, this explains what you will take or not and to know the kind of people you will have to let in, in life .

distance your self from such people will help a lot and saves you from emotional stress .Boundaries act as protective shields, preserving mental health and promoting respect, empathy, and positive environments.

Setting boundaries is a form of self-care. It helps to create a clear guideline/rule/limits of how you would like to be treated. They let others know what is and what is not okay/acceptable. It honors our needs and wants so that we feel respected and safe.

By confronting them: when confronting a person you have to be polite and speak in a manner where the person will understand, it shows that you are you are not afraid of them. but instead you choose “peace over drama ”.

Confront means either to face a situation that makes you uncomfortable, or to say something to someone about something they've done that bothers you.

Practice self care: care for yourself more avoid engaging in stressful activities , and practice good hygiene your well being should be your top priority , love yourself the way you are.

Self-care is a conscious act people take to promote their physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health.

Self-care involves conscious participation in activities that promote healthy functioning and enhance a person's well-being and quality of life.

Develop a growth mindset:Having a growth mindset means believing that a person's abilities aren't innate but can be improved through effort, learning, and persistence.

A growth mindset is a belief that you can develop your skills and talents through hard work, the right strategies, and guidance from others.

Remember haters are confused admirers , you can't control what others thinks, but you can control how you react. remembering that their word's are a reflection of them, not you.
