What should you do if your friends often ask you to borrow money?

This year I got the job and it is story of me and one of my colleague friend working in same place.

One of the toughest moments is when a friend wants cash for something fancy instead of something they really need. I went through this when a close buddy of mine asked to borrow money to buy a Royal Enfield motorcycle. Saying no was hard, but it was important for our friendship in the long run.

It all began when my friend came to me, super excited about getting a Royal Enfield. He was really pumped about owning it and hoped I could help him out financially. The amount he wanted was pretty big, and even though he was enthusiastic and made it sound urgent, I had to think it over carefully.

I was stuck in a tough spot. I totally got how amazing it feels to want something you really love. But my own money situation wasn’t great, and I couldn’t risk lending a large amount without hurting myself financially. I always believed in helping out with real needs instead of luxuries. Things like medical bills, essential expenses, and family needs were always my top priorities.

In the end, I chose not to lend him the money. I knew I valued our friendship, but I couldn’t justify spending money on a luxury when I had my own important responsibilities. This choice, while logical, ended up hurting our friendship. My friend took it to heart and felt upset, which created long distance between us. It was a tough situation, but it showed how complicated it can be to manage money and friendships.

He doesn't wanted to listen anything from me so we ended our friendship. According to me one should help anyone when he is in real needy situation rather than luxury requirement.

Sorry to disappoint him but I don't feel sad for this .
