Silvertop was working inside all morning, as the rain continued to fall…..😅
I was mapping out 10 electrical circuits for a new backup generator and transfer switch!😊
We did a lot of research, and I finally had Liz order a Westinghouse 12,500 watt duel fuel, propane or gasoline generator!
It is shipping from Florida, with an estimated delivery of January 10th.😊

By 1:00 I was finished with my electrical work, and the rain had stopped.
Silvertop figured he better grab a hike!😇
Ten minutes into my hike, the sky let loose and dumped on Silvertop!😅
Every with my raincoat I was going to get soaked, it was pouring hard!
I made a detour to Grants cabin, I figured I could wait it out on his outside covered porch.
I have always been intrigued by his wooden bridge, and you can see why in the second photo!
The center support is actually an old growth Western Red Cedar!🤔
The bridge bounces when you cross it!😳
I guess the bridge will rot away long before this Cedar decays!😇
Hopefully not when Silvertop is crossing over it Lol!😬
Grant has cut trails through the forest, and one path takes you to the root system of a large tree that had fallen!
As I hiked up to the base of this tree, I noticed dozens of decorations hanging from each exposed tree root!😮
Each had a small shell on the bottom and several glass beads all tied together like Christmas decorations!🤗
Someone was feeling artistic!
The rain slowed, and I hiked onward……
I passed Amy one neighbor, and then Jan our regular hiking friend out hiking in the cold rain.
“The daylight is starting to come back Silvertop, I needed to get out!”☺️
I read that in January you gain between 90 seconds to 2 minutes of daylight each day, increasing to 2 1/2 minutes in February!
“Soon we will all be hiking the Mountains my friend, and wondering if we will EVER get some rain Lol!”😇🤣
The New Year is almost here!🤗
