In my last update, I mentioned that I'd started working on communities and whilst this update will be shorter than that one, considerable progress has been made.
π€« Muted Posts
In response to that post, @weisser-rabe wrote:
I notice that muted posts are also visible here. I think that's a pity - at least without a corresponding note. Maybe you can eliminate that?
So before working on pinned posts, I worked on excluding muted content.
I felt that this this request was applicable across the entire platform - whilst some good content is muted for simply visiting the wrong community, the majority is muted for good reason.
By default, Muted posts are excluded from being displayed but can be viewed in the same way as Bot Users, Blacklisted Users and Blacklisted Tags and also come with their own little icon.
π Pinned Posts
The next and far more challenging element was to include pinned posts. Whilst some of us will fondly reminisce about the SteemFoods community having an impressive 100 pinned posts (before the admin cleared out the community account and expected to be welcomed back with open arms π€‘), there's only so much scrolling and raising that a middle finger wants to do (assuming your mouse has a scroll-wheel and you don't see the funny side).
So my interface is limiting the Pinned Posts to a section at the top.
If a community has fewer than 4 Pinned Posts, they will appear full-width (which doesn't look great but doesn't look terrible so I might improve how it displays at a later date) and any other amount will display 3 at a time, with the most recently posted appearing first.
In most cases, this looks good (at least I think so) although there will be some communities that will still challenge all that is sensible in this world.
As always, please let me know what you think and for any suggestions for further enhancements. I've misplaced my to-do list so would benefit from some ideas.

the-gorilla's Club Status Tool
I've also created a tool to help users review their club status - showing them where their power's coming from, how much they're powering up, transferring out and who they share a wallet with amongst other things.
Please use it wisely.
Looks good ;-))
Thank you for quickly incorporating my extra request!

π It's a difficult balance to know how many to display... 3 or 4 looks ok and works quite well but it probably means that anything older might go unnoticed. For communities with 50 pinned posts, it definitely means they'll go unnoticed - which is probably a good thing π
