❓ Quick Question: Profile Usage

in hive-151113 •  9 months ago

After yesterday's mammoth post, today I have a quick question that I'd like as many responses to as possible please.

Within the Profile section, there are 8 pages:

  • Blog
  • Posts
  • Posts - Comments
  • Posts - Payout
  • Replies
  • Communities
  • Notifications
  • Settings

Please can you order them by how important you think that they are.

I.e.:

  1. Most Important
  2. Least Important

If you would like to group some elements that you can't separate, then please do.

For example, mine might be:

  1. Posts - Payout
  2. Notifications & Replies
  3. Posts - Comments
  4. Settings
  5. Posts, Blog and Communities

I have considered the use of my own profile as well as the profiles of other users.

@the-gorilla

The steemit still has the API issue. Who's in charge of the maintenance of steemit? Why does steemit neglect this issue for more than 3 days?

Hi @happycapital,

I think this problem has been happening for over a month - some comments and replies never appear for me at all.

I really wish I knew the answer... I saw this comment earlier today, suggesting that a fix has been made but I haven't seen anything get better!

My understanding is that our witnesses aren't able to improve things either and we're reliant upon the Steemit Team - if it was something that the witnesses could fix, it would've been fixed by now (and almost certainly wouldn't have been broken in the first place). Unfortunately, communication from the Steemit Team has hit an all-time low so I don't expect them to let us know what is happening.

I really wish I could be more helpful.. I wish that when I contact somebody from Steemit, they would reply. But they don't.

Unfortunately, there's nothing to do for STEEM witnesses.. it's a serious problem.

My profile, or someone else's?

Me:

  5. Posts - Comments
  6. Communities
  7. Posts - Payout
  8. Settings (unless/until the ability to change API nodes gets activated)

Ah, interesting. I hadn’t considered the distinction between the 2 and I’d like to make the positioning consistent so I probably should have done.

1- Posts
2- Blog
3- Notifications
4- Replies
5- Communities
6- Settings
7- Comments
8- Payouts

I didn't know what's a Payout tab before today. I don't think I found it useful enough to be used in future as well.

And now it’s gone again. Ah, it’s back again. Let’s put it here too

1- Posts
2- Blog
3- Notifications
4- Replies
5- Communities
6- Settings
7- Comments
8- Payouts

Why can’t I see your update?? 😤

Oh, I can now. Steemit’s so fucked xx

For me:

  1. Replies
  2. Notifications
  3. Posts, Posts - Comments
  4. Blog
  5. Communities
  6. Settings
  7. Posts - Payouts; I hadn't clicked on this menu item before, oh, comments are also displayed there, what a surprise ;-)

We learn something new every day 😉

  1. Posts
  2. Notifications
  3. Replies
  4. Posts - Comments
  5. Blog
  6. Settings

I never use:

  1. Posts - Payout
  2. Communities

As short as possible:

  • Blog
  • Posts
  • Posts - Comments
  • Replies
  • Notifications
  • Settings

I think, PayOuts and Communities do not necessarily have to be directly visible from the profile.

Ok.., so my rank would be:

  • Posts
  • Blog
  • Notifications
  • Replies
  • Posts - Comments
  • Posts - Payout
  • Communities
  • Settings

This post has been featured in the latest edition of Steem News...

It is interesting , in Your yesterday post you did not take the twinchain in consideration , what they do and how they do it on peakd.com and maybe also why they do it their way.

I covered peakd.com briefly in a comment.

The route they take is to hide their navigation in a burger menu - I covered the disadvantages of this quite extensively and how badly this solution has tested with users. I shared quite a lot of links in that post, some of which go into far greater detail than I did.

Oh , yes , for me it is much more important why the #STEEM ist not working correctly.
Is it the steemit.com website or do You know why that is .

To Your Question in this Post I do not have an answer, but You brought my attention to the settings "page" where I changed the node , and now I will see if this non functionality will fade , höhö .

Thank You for answering .

Ha ha. Yes. Well, that’s another part of the website that doesn’t work 😆

The website not working is so frustrating and unfortunately whatever the problem is, it’s something that everybody is waiting for Steemit Team to fix. I saw this comment earlier today which hopefully means that things will start working again soon!

Höhö , I had to find out .

hi, first of all thank you for the work you are doing, but why do I never see the updated votes on the steemit.com page? also the potential earnings of the post are not updated

I wish that I knew the answer and could get it fixed. My understanding is that it's something that the Steemit Team need to fix and that the rest of us must wait helplessly until they do.
