Good day lovely steemians, how did your day go ?, I hope it went well. Today I would like to tell you a little about my day , I hope you find it interesting and I hope you learn one or two things from my experience.

My day started by 9am this morning, lately I have been staying awake at night to write some of my steemit posts and daily experiences, I sleep late and so wake up late too. so I woke up by 9am, said my prayers and read my morning devotional.
I really didn't have a clear plan for the day other than the fact that I was to meet a friend who had volunteered to teach me how to play chess. After my prayers, I did my daily workouts, it has now become a habit so I always do it although some days I barely do anything reasonable, some other days I just wake up tired and lazy and wouldn't carry any weights at all.

Immediately I was done with that , I went on to make my breakfast, I made fried potato chips and stew with a cup of tea, I am on a diet and I was advised to take potatoes because they contain fiber and would aid muscle development.

After that I went on to write my my steemit post which I posted that day, it was about my favorite sports team, it took me a while before I could finish it up. It's actually am interesting write-up, you could check it out here

Later on, I had a little nap, when I woke up I made rice and egg source for lunch, it's actually one of my favorites, I make it often, I like it because it's delicious and it's quite easy to make. many friends say they really enjoy it as well so I left the recipe here, you can check out the recipe, maybe you can try it later.

After that I went out for the main event which me I had planned out for today which is learning how to play chess. I had decided to learn how to play chess because of a girl, she is a friend of mine and her name is Goodness. she is a very good chess player, infact the best in my neighborhood. Few days back she said something provocating , she said no one in our neighborhood could ever defeat her in the game of chess, she then turned to me and said it would take atleast 3 years before I could level up to her or even try to defeat her in chess. Although I didn't know how to play chess at all but I couldn't take it, 3 years is a very long time. I told her I would learn the game and within one year, I would defeat her.

So I decided that I must learn how to play chess and I would defeat her , so I met a friend of mine who is also a good chess player and asked for his help and he accepted to teach me . There he is , his name is Victor

The chess game is quite an interesting game, it helps us to analyze and think critically. It's like a battle to capture a kingdom and it is achieved here by capturing the king, the game ends when the king is captured, it is called checkmate. Today I was only taught the names of the chessman or pieces.
The chessman are those objects used to play the chess on the chess board. And there are 6 different pieces and they can only move in a certain way. We have the king, the queen, the knights ,the room, the pawn and the bishop.

After that I sat quietly and watched him play, it was still quite confusing though but they say it will get to understand the game as time goes on. I stayed there for a few hours after which I decided to go enjoy myself a bit, I went to play table tennis (ping-pong). That was the last thing I did before I went back home. I will be going again next time to continue my chess lessons. I just have to learn this game and be good at it
