Very good morning my people and I hope you are very well, today I want to share with you a work in which I was working and in which I dedicated to create Esperanza, a pretty woman walking a path covered by many flowers; basically I chose this theme because I wanted to try a little brushes:
PROCESS
The main sketch of my drawing I started by creating Esperanza with a pose as if she was turning to one side, while carrying in her hands a rose which she picked up from the path; I decided to create this character with a long dress, with short hair and with a big glasses. For Esperanza's skin I decided to use dark sandy tones, as I wanted to achieve a caramel-like brown look that I really liked; this was a process of a couple of layers until I was able to finish the volume properly.
Finishing with the basic shape of the skin the next thing I did was to give a little warmth and tenderness to the face and for this I painted a touch of blush on the cheeks with the airbrush; after finishing with the blush I painted the eyes to which I gave a diamond green tone to give a unique touch and a bright purple to the lips to better match the skin.
The next step of the coloring process was the creation of Esperanza's dress, for this dress I hesitated a little bit in using a light green or a dark navy blue tone and in fact I tried both, but I didn't like either of them; then I edited the color scheme a little bit and I got this soft brown with a tendency to gray colors and I thought it looked very very good and it would contrast with the skin. For the hair being a short style I thought that a light chocolate brown would be great for Esperanza, I worked with several brushes in this section to try to build a hair with a shape, volume and above all relief as real as possible.
The painting of the glasses was done with a medium vinotint color and then I created the shape and texture with some pretty bright and striking red and pink tones; then I gave color to the red rose she is holding in her hands and for that I scaled the intense red colors a lot and also applied some layer effects to get an even better shine.
Finally I dedicated myself in the last part of the drawing to create a background like a path covered by tall flowers and lots of various styles in soft reddish tones; another thing that occurred to me in the final part was to give it a flash in the form of a yellow line as if the afternoon sun was setting and the night was slowly coming in.
