The Aceh Provincial Government held a mobile takbir parade on foot and decorated cars to welcome and enliven the eve of Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijriah in Banda Aceh City on Sunday, 16/6/2024.

The Acting Governor of Aceh, Bustami Hamzah, released a traveling takbiran parade group to welcome the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijriah. The activity was carried out in the front yard of the main tower gate of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, Banda Aceh.

Bustami, in his speech, said that reciting remembrance in the traveling takbiran parade added to the excitement and solemnity of the evening of Eid al-Adha.

"This is a sunnah practice for Muslims, namely enlivening the holiday night with worship," said Bustami.

He said that the takbir sentences were a form of glorification of the greatness of Allah. This sentence, said Bustami, is an expression of awareness as a creature that greatness belongs only to God Almighty.

The mobile takbir parade on the eve of Eid al-Adha celebrations, said Bustami, is a momentum to strengthen relationships between people. Therefore, this activity is expected to be a reflection of Islamic teachings.

Towards the end of his remarks, Bustami advised all participants in the mobile takbir parade to remain orderly in carrying out activities.

"Happy Eid al-Adha celebration, please physically and mentally," said Bustami.

In this regard, the parade of decorative cars and pedestrians was attended by 25 groups from various gampongs in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. They walked around a number of streets in the capital of Aceh Province.

The traveling takbiran parade route starts from the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, Simpang Kodim, Simpang Peuniti, Simpang Surabaya, Simpang Jambo Tape, Simpang Lima, Simpang Kodim, and returns to the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque.

The release of the Takbir parade participants was marked by the beating of Tambo by the Governor of Aceh. This year, as many as 25 groups of participants in the walking takbir parade and the floated car takbir parade took part in enlivening the night of Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijriah, originating from Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar.

Thousands of people were seen filling the road which was used as a travel route for all the groups taking part in the takbir parade. In fact, at around 20.00 WIB, residents had already filled the road that was the parade route.

The takbir parade with various decorative car decorations made this year's Eid al-Adha evening very lively and memorable.

The Eid al-Adha 1445 H takbiran parade was attended by 25 groups of marchers from the Al-Muhyi Mosque, Al-Furqan Gampong Beurawe Mosque, Ruhul Jadid Mosque, Babun Najah Mosque Gampong Surien, Al-Magfirah Lambisnis Mosque, and Gampong Lamgugob Mosque.

Then, Meunasah Manyang Pagar Air Mosque, Gampong Lam Geu Eu Mosque, Gampong Klieng Cot Aron Mosque, Gampong Miruk Taman Mosque, Baitul Makmur Mosque Gampong Lampeuneurut, Al-Huda Mosque, and Al Falah Abu Lam U Modern Islamic Boarding School Mosque.

Next, the Ruhul Fata Gampong Ajun Mosque, Meunasah Baburrahmah Lampoh Daya, Meunasah Al-Furqan Gampong Mibo, Taqwa Mosque Gampong Setui, Al-Islahiyah Mosque Youth Gampong Lambhuk, and At-Taqwa Mosque Youth Lampupok.

Then, Youth from Al-Hidayah Mosque, Gampong Lamdom, Meunasah Gampong Lamseupeung, Gampong Lamreung Meunasah Papeun, Youth from Gampong Blang, Meuraxa District, Gampong Lamlagang, and Gampong Meunasah Baktrieng.

Thousands of Banda Aceh residents were seen pouring into the city center to watch the mobile takbir parade. A number of protocol roads appeared to be completely jammed and vehicles did not move for several hours. Residents who watched the parade sat on the sidewalk and onto the road.
