If the moderator is the only one who reads it might be a good thing if a comment is left behind. On the other hand it is frequently not read whatever is left behind. Perhaps a normal comment would instead of a report.

Curators do not comment although the Steemit Team asked to do so. One curator responded as I asked why not. The answer was: I just do what everyone does, follow them and I didn't read what was written in the post of @steemitblog.
