SteemAtlas (slow connection/phone - #howto)

Steem Atlas is alive and a great project. Did you notice it?
What if you have a slow, old phone or an annoying internet connection or both? How to deal with it and pin your post on the map?

If you deal (at times) with a slow internet connection, phone or both Steem Atlas can be a burden since it's hard to load with all the data. Does this mean that the Atlas can only be used by those with a great computer and a fast internet connection?

No, no and no, that is at least not now.

My main problem is loading the Atlas.

At my first try I thought nothing happend so I left and after hours I noticed the map was loaded.
I added the pin with a lot of struggles because it was click the pin first and next search the location which is hard if not impossible because as I finally found the exact location the pin option disappeared.😥

My second pin I finished today around 8 am

Adding the link to the post included meaning it took me about 30 minutes.

For the 2nd try
(actually it is the 3rd, the code didn't show as I tried to paste it at the bottom of my post. I used the laptop of a child) **I was prepared! **

• The post was written and I saved the link in Telegram - saved messages.
• I loaded Steem Atlas which is still an "open" page in my browser

How to pin?
See Main menu at the top right.

I edited the post and left a note plus the copied link or actually 2 links since I changed the name of my pin I also changed the word in the link. Is this needed?

How to check if it all worked? I don't know but I guess it did since I see the pin which of course, can be a trick of the browser which doesn't load or refreshes fast.

Note: There are plenty of posts pinned in the Netherlands but the Atlas doesn't show a single one unless you zoom and zoom and zoom in till nearly the max of what is possible.
Instead of searching for a name it would be helpful if I can search for a country, provence or better a place. Scrolling over the map to search the right location is a task that takes 1 hour unless I just drop the pin somewhere...
