AUTHENTICITY

My Dear Friends

Work from home" sounds so appealing, right? And when we hear that someone is working online, we think, "Wow, they must be earning a lot of money!" But have you ever thought about how challenging it is to earn money online? In my opinion, it's even tougher than physical labor because it requires more brainpower and constant screen time, which can be exhausting.

Because of the economic conditions and job scarcity, Many people are unemployed, and even if they find work in companies or offices, the salary is often not enough to cover household expenses, let alone other expenses like electricity, gas bills, and rent. Starting a new business in such conditions is like shooting oneself in the foot (wasting one's own resources).

Authenticity (1).png

People are now giving more importance to online work, probably because of the economic conditions and job scarcity. However, if we talk about online work, the first step is to find a genuine platform that actually pays for your efforts (which is a challenging task in itself, as finding a legitimate platform on the internet is difficult).

But have you thought about why a platform would pay you? What unique skills or qualities do you possess that would compel someone to pay you for your expenses? Obviously, you'll need to contribute something exceptional that sets you apart. This could be innovative ideas, specialized skills that grab others' attention, or creating engaging content that people want to read, watch, or listen to (here, I'm referring to social media platforms like blogging or video sharing).

Some people opt for video sharing platforms as they're relatively easier. Many people visit video platforms like YouTube or TikTok daily for entertainment purposes and watch videos that interest them. If done fairly and consistently, this can be a challenging and time-consuming task, and the reward, if any, depends on your luck. Some people reveal their social secrets to quickly gain fame, grow their audience, and earn a lot of money. Most people prefer video sharing platforms for this purpose.

However, if we talk about blogging platforms like Steemit, it's a much more challenging task than people think. When you visit the first page, you see trending posts with rewards ranging from $400 to $500, which is astonishing because those posts usually just have a picture and a few words. A new user gets tempted and a beautiful dream is born in their mind - "Wow, it's raining money here! And the work is so easy, just upload a picture and write a few words. Why not enjoy this rain of money?"

So, I started my Steemit journey with a beautiful dream and a sleeping conscience (meaning, a blind desire to earn money). I created multiple accounts (Never used after creating this account ) and started posting just like others, with a picture and a few words, hoping to get a reward of $100 or $50 ( A joke). it was all in vain. I thought why i am not getting paid for my (useless) work. But I was on the wrong path, I was alone, and I had no one to guide me . But then I started understanding slowly. What's the reality behind the curtain?. (nowadays, new users are lucky to have onboarding guides who teach them the rules and procedures).

But it's said that you don't understand the reality until you dive deep into a matter.

And then my conscience won, and my true Steemit journey began. When I created my original (this) account and started sharing posts based on my skills, my post began to receive attention from some people. When my post's payout showed 20 cents, my hopes increased. I worked harder, but here's a clarification for outside readers: the 20 cents wasn't my reward alone. 10cents was for those(Curators) who supported me, 5cent gone to my power, and 5cent were mine. But those 5cents lit up the dark paths of my Steemit journey.

My hard work started paying off as I was on the right path. Soon, the Steemit Team favored me, and I got the opportunity to support and guide my fellow countrymen. I utilized this positively and worked towards making my country's name proud on this platform.

However, the clouds of ingratitude have surrounded this nation. People have forgotten that unity has great power, and if we work together, keeping our thoughts aligned and removing envy from our hearts, it will benefit everyone. (Here, I want to clarify that not everyone is the same, and I believe there are still some sincere people who are aware of these things, but they don't want to spoil their reputation by engaging in such matters). Some Pakistani friends don't even use the Pakistan tag in their posts.

But I still don't understand the communities option. There are many communities, but people are the same. In one community, if there's an admin, then in another community, he's a mod. What's the point? Does it mean that we should grow a community and when a good amount is collected, close it and then a user from that community creates a new community and everyone shifts there gradually? Nobody will know. They think Everyone's eyes are closed here. Everyone's sleeping. The idea is good, collect money from all sides. (The talk is a bit bitter, but it's true). But I say, no matter how many communities are created, by doing this people will continue to encroach on others' rights in this way.

I had created only one community (Best Of Pakistan) to gather the best posts and users from Pakistan. But they are too good, they don't need unity. I had said earlier that it's important to have a similar thought process, and my nature is a bit different. Which is why most people from my country don't like me on this platform. Because if I support someone, I also criticize them if they're wrong.

I do what my conscience allows me to do. Everyone will reap the consequences of their actions. Everyone is accountable for their deeds. I'm just an artist, I create drawings and present my skills to people. If someone supports me or not, it's up to them. Today, I shared a bit about my personal thoughts because I'm also a well-known online worker in my family gathering. And sometimes, being alone in a room, I run out of ideas. But writing the truth doesn't scare me. Whatever the consequences may be. Besides, everyone here is intelligent and supportive of each other, like-minded people too.

In the end, I will say that online work is not as easy as most people think. You have to sweat your brain to earn even 5 cents halal money. Otherwise, it's very easy to steal someone else's hard work and eat their rights. Now it depends on you which path you choose.

That's all for now, until next time, goodbye.

Stay safe, Happy, and Blessed!

With Love 💕 @rashid001

Thank you very much

Thank you for expressing your thoughts with truth and depth. If we see, a content creator is actually entitled to use 25% of the reward at their discretion. Since 25% of the reward goes into the account's power for Steem growth, the remaining 25% should be free to use. But we are forced to settle for 12.5% and stay in clubs for the sake of rewards. Because No Club, No Reward.

only post a photo with fifty words, they don't comment to anyone, and their posts get very juicy votes.

The truth was revealed long ago when I realized that these are not writers but investors who have no interest in writing. They just take the reward for their investment... and we as content creators should ignore them because they don't have a good influence on the writers' minds.

Is it worth investing so many hours of work and intellect to leave everything to chance?

The best use of your time can take you towards a good reward. Because if you spend your time engaging with people, talking to them, and growing strong connections, then this is certainly the first step towards success.

Thank You

No club, no reward?

This is not true and a rule only set for SEC contests although engagement should be the leading factor.

No club, no upvote are made up rules by communities!

The Steem Curators their task is to upvote those without a club as well! They can use #noclub to be found. A reason why an upvote can be denied is that er is no "commitment" or trace of "investment" in Steemit. One way to proof this is upvoting others (CSI score), commenting and investing.

Like @solperez already said there are accounts receiving high upvotes though there's no commitment (yet). This should make admins, mods and hosts consider why it is they ask for club members only.
Most likely the answer is: it gives me or I hope for a high upvote

I agree with your thoughts. Maybe you are more senior than me.Because immediately after starting my Steemit journey, Steemit Inc.'s rules started applying, and we kept following them. And when we didn't, we didn't see anything except ignorance.

And in my opinion, the last sentence of your comment is perfect.

Actually "we" did not... a part did. It turns out there's a huge group not joining. Have a look at Xpilar.. it feels to me they are if not a big the most famous community and they do receive support.
Next to the part we swim around there's way more Steemit and if we like it or not they do invest in this platform. Perhaps not with time or good content but I see jokes, thoughts, posts I like to read watch without all the fuss and many of them have a big wallet. Each one of them is an investor and important to Steemit. They will not leave, there are plenty who started before the hard fork.
Will everyone leave? Not everyone. There are plenty addicted to the platform. There might be a loss of content but the question is if that's a problem. There's plenty to read and no one does, many are just producing content 2-4 times per day even if they have nothing to share.

What strikes me most is that till today upvoting someone even if the content is read is NOT a habit. Even if you can win a contest by upvoting, resteeming and leaving a comment the first two are ignored. How lazy can one be? Or how easy should contests be to make people join? Should we beg or give it away to? For what reason exactly?

Hi @rashid001, it was indeed a nice writing and you exactly reflected what is happening in mind of many people, we all care about our family, financial expenses and understandably would like to earn in order to allow us to cover our needs.

When I read about your thoughts about online earning it immediately reminds me my mother's words, because seeing and hearing how some earn thousands of dollars sitting at home and just doing something on their blogs he thinks that it is so easy. I believe if someone tried then the person knows that this is not really easy one and definitely take many hours of search, engage and creating something that will catch an eye of others.

Steemit is one of the blogging that could be an option of earning via engagement, but again the person who starts should not expect an easy income. I must say since the Steemit Inc took over for Newcomers it is easy to get started and grow if they take part in many activities that new Steemit offers. If we look how many "orcas" we have now and they are from developing countries that was never possible with old Steem.

Also, what make it better that with help of such activities like Steemcurator Initiatives there are simple users who can apply and be a curator supporting others but also to grow themselves. Of course, it is never quick growth and I do not think people will become Millionaires within short time but it is something that could motivate many and find a goal.

I also agree with you that having a Newcomer Support program it makes it easy to onboard new users and to guide them, easy start make it always easy to feel welcomed and to retain many users.

As to Communities that will bring the people from the same country under one hat, I do not really think it is necessary. Users should feel free and welcomed in any community and not restricted to one. It is noticeable that some users prefer to post in one community only and that also make it difficult for others to discover those users.

Thank you for opportunity for discussion and reading opinions of other users to this topic.

A great answer and it makes a lot clear although I don't see low level or "everyone"being a curator. These are mainly the same people joining and a part of them is not very active as a moderator, rarely upvotes and engages. The system baffles me but it's true, out of the blue more and more turn out to have a collection of dolphins (interesting is many old Steemians don't not even after years of writing) although a part of them pretends they are still poor.

I am grateful to you for understanding my points and responding to them in a very beautiful manner.

I must say that your comment has given me heartening satisfaction, as if my post has achieved its purpose. Because I wanted to convey everything that you have understood.
This post is based on my experiences and true feelings related to Steemit. And perhaps most people who spend their time and energy online will relate to it.

I have no personal disagreements with anyone, and I have always respected content creators.

My thinking about communities is positive. Because a community has the power to support good content. I have always tried to support communities through delegations.

But in reality, I am against those few people who only create communities to fulfill their personal interests. And then, when the community grows, they shut it down and take advantage of others' hard work.

Just like some well-known communities in the past, such as 'Steem Infinity Zone', 'SteemFoods', Steemit Pakistan, steemwomen Club.

Thank you so much again for joining this conversation .

You want all Pakistanis under one community? That's what I inferred from "unity." I wished that too from the beginning but contrasting opinions never made it possible.

I wonder if the current community for Pakistanis is fulfilling its purpose...

Personally, I feel the communities these days lack purpose. If you hide the name of a community, nobody can tell what it's intended for - all look same.

  ·  last month (edited)

You have understood my point perfectly, because if we do this, Pakistani users can come together to create a good Community.
But, in my observation, most Pakistani users are only concerned with generating their own rewards.

Either they don't read posts or they don't understand the depth of the topic. They don't care if a post is trending in the Pakistan tag, whether they should read it or comment on it.

You might remember when I used to curate from SC07, I focused more on the Pakistan tag than other communities to increase engagement. But sometimes ,sadly I don't want to use the Pakistan tag and i skip it on my own blog because when a trending post expires with 0 comments, it means there is no connection among Pakistani users.

Everyone is scattered.

The problem is not just with Pakistanis. Everyone here is for rewards (agree or not). It comes down to how a user earns them. Some put in real effort and some find the easy way out. There's also a huge difference between the actions of the users who take it as a hobby and who have made it a main source of income.

Anyways, what do you actually mean by unity? I think it's okay as long as there is one main country community. But we can't dictate people where to post and where not. We can't teach them how to comment. It's something that comes naturally based on genuine interest and personal preferences.

That's my personal opinion which is formed after years of observation. I wonder if current SRs (if we have those) tried something to do about this scattering.

Yes, you are right, but I think so much about my country's people as we have a large number of users here but scattered in different communities. Because I know that when something can be done in a fair manner, why choose the wrong path?

Especially when it comes to my country's people, who should not compromise their country's honor for the sake of reward.

By unity, I mean everyone's thinking should be positive (I wish it were possible) without any differences or Envy, and the spirit of supporting each other. There should be a spirit of guiding others when they are wrong, or appreciating on their good work. Only then can we emerge as a good community and move forward.

This can be done If our Steem Representatives can do something about this.

I have made peace with the things how they are because it's difficult to change people. The community is there... what we all need is self reflection and empathy.

We can't change people but Perhaps it is possible that we listen to our conscience and not do what it forbids us from doing. Because it guides us about what is right and wrong.

I cannot return the time you spent on this conversation with me, but I can pray for your happiness and well-being.

Stay blessed and Successful

Happy to engage in a constructive talk. (:

Why should you use your country tag? What is so special about it? Why not use #artist #painter #writer and find likeminded instead of focusing on your limited borders?

I recall when I was a CountryRepresentative, the Steemit Team stated that including the country tag was a rule, and it had to be placed in either the 3rd or 4th position.

I asked it before and I ask it again: Who is the Steemit Team? Where can I find them, what is their task? Do they rule the entire platform?
I like to see their introduction posts.

But hey, you are a free man and it's up to you if you fill the database. Look at all my posts and how many times I used it?

It does make clear why it's impossible to find a post back.

  ·  last month (edited)

Who is the Steemit team? Only SteemitBlog, Sc01, or Sc02 can answer this question. But I will say this much, that due to their efforts, a lot has happened on Steemit in the last 4 years.

Especially, good opportunities for growth have been created for content creators. I have seen the time when there were no steemcurators and 2-3 big curators used to do blind voting. Neither the quality of the post was seen nor the topic. And most people preferred to buy votes by paying more.

I know Steemit is a big platform, but without a system, it was like a desert. Now there is a system, but still, we are free if we want to choose which path to take. If we can play our part in Steemit's growth, then we are appreciated by the Steemit Team (steemcurators).

Think for a moment, if Steem curators stop voting, where will people go? They will either buy votes or leave the platform.

They will buy votes meaning they are willing to pay for it meaning they invest in the platform or?
Buying votes I still see shown as an option in the "fanbases" steembot Xpilar (took over?) and this is supported by the Steemit Team just like many other actions it is said the Steemit Team doesn't allow it.
So again I ask: Who is that team "they" keep referring at? Since just like the misunderstanding that the Steemit Team is against upvoting those without a club, or doesn't allow them to join contests it feels to me that "'the Steemit Team" referred to is a different one.

A question: if each curator mainly focuses on the own #country are upvotes still fair divided among all users?
I have not clue (yet) how many curators are active but I notice wherever I go, no matter the community I always see the same upvoting their own community or I see one curator trying to be everywhere. I always wonder: where is the rest? How come I don't see them everywhere?
It's too much work to curate (in a fair way)?

  ·  last month (edited)

Apply to be a community curator and ! I wish you get selected. Then, you'll understand where curators feel when they perform this duty . I took this responsibility in 2021 and very seriously i understood. and maybe you'll get answers to many of your questions if you get this chance.

if each curator mainly focuses on the own #country are upvotes still fair divided among all users?

I want to clarify one thing: In the past (2021), Country Representatives used to curate content and were selected to support and guide people from their own country.

But now, the rules have changed. Now, we have Community Curators who are free to upvote any post from any country or tag if they think the post is worth it.

Thanks for adding your experiences.
♥️🍀

Dear, There's a good chance to become a Curator... I think you should apply for Community Curator this time.

You know I am very busy, right? Aren't you already? I have hardly time to sleep (I no longer eat so I save time on that); it sounds a bit as if I can do so only now because there's room for a bunch of losers. Let's see who I can find.

Do you believe it is healthier if birds of a feather flock together instead of mingling worldwide?

I believe if birds of a feather flock together, they survive. But if they spread their wings and mingle worldwide, they thrive.

An interesting theory meaning you also stand for not emigrating. 👍

The Communities... I see quite a few that are interchangeable and don't fulfil any particular purpose in my eyes. Others, such as national or regional ones, for example, already fulfil the needs of many users to network and use the same language. Others that deal with specific topics - travelling, animals, sports,... - people who are interested in exactly that.

The role of communities is very important for supporting writers. But there's an important point to consider: when a community grows, and especially when it's time to support people, someone from that same community creates a new community under a different name. And then people start separating, and the old community is closed, and the power is taken down. Have you ever paid attention to this? Isn't this a malpractice against writers?

The Role of Communities

Are writers loyal to a community? Most are not unless the writer has a niche and the community stands for a topic that fits to the content.
Communities for natives only can fulfill the role of a chatbox, inform about Steemit, teach, show the way and host a good contest per week with a topic that has the interest of this nation.

Is SP needed to chat, or change to a new better version? I don't think so.

I want my story between stories and not in an average blog community or one that is flooded with diaries.

#art #film #stories #painting #photography #pets #cooking #sports #parenting #entertainment #health all deserve their own community, a place where the topic counts not nationality, the language you speak, religion (own community), politics (own community) or the size of your wallet.

Great...
communities created according to topics, it will make things easier for writers. Sharing posts on the same topic in the related community has the advantage of using proper(relevant) Tags and increasing the chances of visibility. And it's also easier for readers.

That was the idea as Steemit started. An extra plus might be if with those communities the right hashtags can be selected that is.. if those communities know what they stand for. Most don't. Also, hashtags should be international, and the first 4 counts. You cannot expect anyone to promote Steemit if the author cannot promote his content.

The fact is communities are messy, chaotic and content can't be found. What helps is if witin one community hosts of contests start using the same hashtags and stick to it. They community can make a list, pin it, to tell the poster which ones are used but also make it easier for readers and curators to find a certain topic. It's really not as complicated as it sounds if certain rules are followed.

Example:
first hashtag: community (topic) for example entertainment, betterlife, steemladies
2nd hashtag: topic content for example: sports, choices, education, fun
3rd hashtag: subtopic for example basketball, job, language, memes

@el-nailul @yancar @oneray @patjewell

Unfortunately this is not so easy...
Way back we were told that the tag #contest is only related to the announcement of posts.
Well, it is truly not the case despite all efforts.
My opinion... just let it flow.

🍀♥️

Die plesier was myne vriendin.

Ek dink die ourderdom het my verander. Ek gee deesdae nie meer om hoe en wat nie. Lyk my ek gaan terug na die "flower power" era waar enige iets gewerk het.

Lekker aandjie vir jou!
🌙🛏️💤

No es difícil como lo dices.

The role of communities is very important for supporting writers.

Could it be. If a Community's concept and personnel are designed to be supportive and not restrictive.

Isn't this a malpractice against writers?

Could it be. But it can also be an announcement: You've chosen the wrong Community, you don't fit in with us. Take a better look! Seriously: why should an author voluntarily be active in a Community that he considers abusive or untrustworthy...?

That's what I mean. Let's go for themes, topic, the place we fit in, feel good and does our content good, It's not about being the biggest off Steemit but about staying close to what was intended at the moment a community was created.
Many lost themselves and went for the "big money"ohters remained themselves and are doing well. There's no need to compare with others if it's the topic and with that the content counts.
If I join one about "cooking" I have certain expectations - recipes for example - and don't want to read the next diary.

A community for diaries might be a hit.
One for each age, country, profession, entertainment, and the scheduled ones sharing their timetables.

#thediarygame could use a facelift or perhaps those empty communities can fill this void.

Or perhaps this is why I focus more on tags instead of communities. Because (a few) very few communities are active for a long time. And many communities which doesn't last long due to different mindsets. That's why most communities will seem silent to you. Because disagreements arise there after some time.

Disagreement or lack of interest or started with the wrong mindset?

Without the need to go for SEC, to moderate or upvote a community can run itself.

Whatever online job, apart of traditional freelas, where you are hired by a company to work from remote (it usually happens for IT area jobs) carries hardship. We are compelled to tons of daily hours and sleepless night to finish our posts and publish them. And we earn crumbs, compared to the salaries of a classic offline 9 to 5 job. We haven't the same guarantees of a classic offline 9 to 5 job (no paid vacations, no paid sickness rest days) and in addition we are compelled to work even when we are sick, to meet ends). That's life. Unemployment high rates hit even some top tier countries, in the post-COVID era and we need to stick with what we have...in any way, I think steemit is a very good place to spread creativity at zero risk (in the traditional paths, the lowest risks to work with arts is zero earnings and in the highest, to get broken).

  ·  last month (edited)

Hi Dear ! Thank you for joining conversation .

First of all, I would like to say as i understand that Steemit does not see us as workers, we ourselves consider it as a job in our minds. Because they are also human beings like us. They only see us as content creators.

Steemit only rewards those who contribute to its growth, bring new ideas, or do something that plays a significant role in promoting Steemit. You can see the proof in the posts of the Steem Pod Team.

Steemit is not concerned about our strength or our expenses because they haven't hired us.
But the most important thing is that we are free to share our creativity, build strong connections, and there is no time constraint. We can spend 1 hour or 24 hours, it's up to us. This is the benefit.

  ·  last month (edited)

I'm seeing the more I publish, the more I earn. So I try to publish at least 3 posts per week. Until now, steemit is my main source of income, mainly due to the post-covid mishaps...
Well, dear friend, no contract, sure, but in any way I find it better than nothing...

I can understand your feelings, it's really very difficult when there is no means of livelihood.

My good wishes are with you. Just keep up your hard work. Surely, your earnings will increase.

Thank you friend! Happy publishing.

I agree with @rashid001 you are not an employer and never signed a contract. It's up to you if you post 3 letters or 3000 words. If I were you I would post shorter stories, since yours are looong. It's great for those who read but we all know that's rarely the case.
So do the 50/50 and you can post twice as much with half as much time and with some luck you are rewarded twice which is better than once.

I hope you are doing well with the sports and have more time to rest!

Well, dear friend, I caught a 'flu...and tomorrow I should play the violin at a fathers' day (in my country it's fathers' day now) event...I'd like to be shorter with my stories (Diego's diary stories are short, but as they are Spanish lessons, I can't do without translation, dictionary, slang and pronunciation), but a lot of times I simply can't help cause the plot😂

Just cut your long stories in half!

I'm sorry to hear you caught a cold but I am happy to hear you play the violin again!

Father's day seems to be if celebrated everywhere on a different date.

It is in NL always the 3rd Sunday in June (Mother's day the 2nd Sunday in May)

A great, relaxed celebration.
♥️🍀

Thank you dear♥️! Now there is my little 7 years old student who caught a bad cold, poor child.
In the case of Digitaly contest, unfortunately I can't cut my long stories in half because we must respect the image context and in the case of STORIE DAL TRENTESIMO SECOLO I simply can't help😂😂😂😂. Now, the weekly theme EQUIVOCO obliges me to 3 chapters, to not skip happenings or my readers won't understand😂😂😂😂

Is the weekly theme back? I had some work to do, an interview and am brhind with everything.
Now I am out with my son while a plague of mosquitoes attack me and the food. Time to go home.

A bit work and off to bed. It's good you still love to write.

🤗🍀♥️

Yes, it is. I could publish, but I'm afraid, at least this week, I can't publish my Spanish lesson. The water company is literally persecuting my couple and I'm afraid my husband will get into serious troubles. I can't be so active until this mishap is still running.

Take it easy and do if you have time. To many, it is vacation time. I wish you strength and hope it works out fine with your husband.
Blessings and a warm hug to you.

Congratulations, your post has been successfully curated by Team 7 via @𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐲

Thank you very much, my friend @irawandedy, for supporting and boosting my morale.

I have good wishes for your success in the journey of life. May you achieve all your goals and reach new heights of success..

Great you join us but we set some rules. We like this hive to look like a forum. The first picture should mention the topic of your post and preferable 1 word only. So please, make it clear what this topic is and read the few rules set.

I gave you the label of Topic Poster but will come back to see if you changed it.

cc @solperez you too please like discussed

Welcome

Thank you for the reminder about rules.
I respect the rules of the community, and I have changed the title and image of the post.

However, it was a bit difficult for me to choose a single word, as I wrote about facts about online work. It's a different matter that in the writing flow, I shared my past experiences, which included some different topics. Because it depends on the reader's mindset how they understand it.

That's very true. If you like you can start sub topics. These can be short posts with a part of your text cited and a link to this one.

Authenticity is a good word no matter if it comes to being an individual, being noticed, your niche or a community for Pakistani only.
❤️

P. S. If you see other topics a post of you fits to you can leave the link in the comment section like I did. I advice to add a picture to attract the attention.

Okay, I will keep that in mind and next time, if necessary, I will add all the subtopics in the comment section as per your guidance. Thank you for the guidance.

we can still start the subtopic and see if there's more to discuss and add your post to it and others if they fit.

You are right.. we're getting into a lengthy discussion here! There are many subtopics coming up. We can take any one of them and create a separate post to discuss it further and hear everyone's thoughts.

Toy, toy, toy to you!

I'm lost, what are you trying to say? 🙃

Please use the right hashtags this is not a story/tale
I suggest #chat #forum to find all chats/topics back

thats a great idea . Ok i can change it like that #chat , #forum , #authenticity , #steemexclusive , #steemit
Is that fine?
