For Dal:
- Chana Dal - 1 bowl
- Water
- Salt
- Turmeric Powder

For Tadka: - Oil - 2 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida BEST HING EVER
- Ginger
- Green Chili
- Curry Leaves
- Salt
- Black Salt
- Roasted Cumin Powder - 1 spoon
- Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 spoon
- Coriander Powder - 1 spoon
- Mango Powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder
- Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
- Coriander Leaves - for garnishing

For Pakwan: - Wheat Flour- 1 cup
- Salt
- Carom Seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp in dough
- Water - for binding
- Ghee or Oil - for frying
