Simple and Healthy Raita Recipe
Raita is a crunchy curd based side dish tempered with aromatic spices. It is very quick and easy to prepare. Here is how to make it.
Ingredients
- Yogurt - 1 Cup
- Fresh Moong green - 1 Handful
- Carrot - 2 tbs grated
- Roasted cumin powder - Half tbs
- Grated Ginger - Half tbs
- Salt to taste
- Mustard seed - Half tbs
- Dry red chilli - 1
- Pinch of Hing/Asefoetida
- Curry Leaves - 4
Method of making Raita
- Garden fresh moong green leaves, Washed and finely chopped it.
- Take fresh yogurt in a bowl and add chopped green leaves, carrot, cumin powder, salt and ginger.
- Mix it well.
- Take a pan and now we will make a tempering tadka.
- Pour one tbs oil and add mustard seed, red chilli, hing and curry leaves.
- Add the tempering tadka to the raita.
