One of those days when the rain announces that you will be without internet

Every time it rains in the area of the country where I live, one of those already so much announced malfunctions occurs that over the years have entered my list of abnormal events that have become normal, that failure of the wiring of the only, yes as you read it of the only company that provides home telephone service and internet, just happens. As I say we are already used to or accustomed as you wish to call it to the black clouds that announce the storm are really a warning of the inevitable, being without internet, electricity and telephone service on many occasions even cellular telephony dies imminently.

It seems that the old wires have bones and sense when the rain is coming because they begin to give sparks of pain that become the intermittent faults where you know the worst is coming. It is right at that moment where my connection begins to fail and my race against the rainy weather begins, I look out the window I see the proximity of the clouds, I watch the mountains and if the mountains can´t be seen because of the black clouds you have to run because that translates into an hour or forty minutes of internet service that is the first to disappear.

The first thing is to verify that everything regarding payments, purchases and online banking transactions are done, then quickly start uploading the articles on my blog that is the big challenge, because I'm sure I'm not the only one that after making an effort to write a wonderful topic in which you have been thinking, working and for which you feel a huge emotion to share, you can´t but run so you can upload it on the platform and share it on the network. Because reader friend, after the rain in my area we can be two, three days or even weeks without the internet service being restored, we are really lucky when it comes back in a few hours or half a day.

The tragedy of the internet and other services when the rainy season begins in my country is the chronicle of a death foretold, every year we face it and nobody does anything, before there were lists with the signatures and the affected sectors, I also remember going with a group of my neighbors to the service companies to protest and not getting more than the typical answer that almost all of us get "today the person in charge of taking the claim is not there and there is no system" I really tell you these days of rain and internet failures is where we do catharsis not to go crazy.

What would you do if the internet vanished forever?

Well in my case, I am one of the people who grew up without internet and I knew it was studying in college and because I went to these places like cyber to connect, I think in particular it would not be a trauma for me to return to the old routines, especially because in my bohemian life I use the internet because it is the way in which I currently manage to do some things a little easier even work. I would really go back to publishing in magazines and literary sheets as I once did or in newspapers, it would be wonderful to write and receive handwritten letters from my loved ones who are far away and even postcards. I think the idea of a life without internet is a bit tempting ha ha ha. Thanks for sharing.
