The need for female education.

Hello everyone hope you are doing well.

My first post here in steemschool I want to discuss about women education and the important of it.
The need for women education is embodied in the National policy on Education. The principle of giving equal education Opportunities to all Nigerians means that Nigerian government, federal and state, have programs of Education for both male and female and members of the society. The days of exclusive male education programmes are over. More than ever before, Nigerian government,at federal and state levels, are giving adequate attention to the education of the female members of the Nigeria society.

This they do by opening more schools for girls admitting girls into the school level. This is why the federal government has established co -educational and special secondary schools for girls, again such secondary schools which are state owned are now found everywhere in the country, Apart from these the social -economic status of the women is being considerably improved through the nation wide "Better Life' programme of the Babangida administration.

As much as possible, state governments include women in their cabinets as commissioners. As the saying goes, "if you educate a man you educate an "individual ;but if you educate a woman, you educate a nation! "So, teachers should not discriminate against the admission of girls into their schools, they should encourage all the young girls in their neighborhood to go to school, Girls who go to school become better wives, better mothers and bring up better Nigerian citizens.

In conclusion
Greater attention is now being paid to the education of girls and women in Nigeria. This is in realization of the big role they have to play in our socio - economic and Political life. When we educate a boy or man we educate an individual ; but when we educate a girl or woman, we educate a nation. This is because women spend more time with the children and the women who do not have enough education will mislead the children during the early years of their life.

Thank you for stopping by.
