A Literacy and Advocacy Organization in University of Uyo known as RELIGIONNEXT Foundation for Youth and Peace Building, which was officially inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of University of Uyo Prof. Nyaudo Ndaeyo, and led by Hon. Minister for Inter-religious and Inter-cultural Affairs Dr. Effiong J. Udoh, (Founder) had paid a special visit to the Students' Union President Comr. Wisdom Emmanuel on Monday, November 22.
The Organization was warmly received by the Union President in his Office, the Hon. Minister in his opening speech, first of all congratulated the President on his well deserved victory at the polls.
The Minister disclosed that the visit was as a result of the President's efforts to enforce sustainable peace building as both the students and school management encountered a serene environment for learning, and of course attracted some accolades. Hence, they came to intimate the President of the Union, with a reassurance that his passion to selfless service will not go unnoticed.
Prior to that, it is worthy of note that the visit was also intended to be the first and ever/ beginning of a strategic partnership between the RELIGIONNEXT FOUNDATION, and the entire Students' Body in University of Uyo which is providentially led by Comr. Wisdom Emmanuel.
In response, His Excellency Comr.Wisdom Emmanuel, appreciated RELIGIONNEXT FOUNDATION, for their immense contributions in Campus Interreligious and Intercultural engagements in University of Uyo.
Also, he promised that his Administration will surely continue to maintain peace and promote unity in diversity.
Verily, based on his tremendous advocacy of peace on campus, the management and fellows of RELIGIONNEXT FOUNDATION, appointed and approved Comr. Wisdom Emmanuel as Patron of RELIGIONNEXT, and the Students' Union Government, as an Official Partner of RELIGIONNEXT in perpetuity.
