To be able to fast for 30 days, Muslims must always maintain a healthy body.

However, there are still many people who are lazy because they feel they have to endure thirst and hunger. This behavior will actually have a negative impact on the body.

The reason is, there will be many diseases that will stop by if we cannot stop ourselves when the month of Ramadan arrives. However, there are tips for staying healthy and avoiding disease during fasting.

Here are 5 tips to keep your body healthy and avoid disease during Ramadan fasting:

  • Consumption of Water
In accordance with expert recommendations, drinking 8 glasses of water a day can make the body not lack the ions in it. Even though you are fasting, health experts recommend drinking 8 glasses a day.

It can be divided into 2 glasses after breaking the fast, 2 glasses after Isha prayer, 2 glasses after tarawih or before going to bed and 2 glasses at dawn.

  • Light exercise
Even though you are fasting, you should not be silent. Set a minimum of 30 minutes each day for exercise.

If sports such as cycling or running feel heavy, try to do light exercise such as walking or just exercising to flex stiff muscles.

  • Avoid Overeating
When we fast, the body will lack a lot of nutrients and make the stomach feel empty for quite a long time.

This is sometimes misunderstood by the community. Many people seem to take "revenge" by overeating when breaking their fast. Eat in moderation according to your daily calorie needs.

  • Iftar with a sweet

The phrase "open with sweet things" is an important point in fasting. Sugar levels that fall during the morning to evening can be increased by a sweet snack.

However, you should not overeat sugary foods. Choose fruits and dates as a substitute for foods or drinks with a high sugar content.

  • Avoid smoking
For some people, smoking is a habit that is difficult to avoid. For smokers, you can make the month of Ramadan a momentum to reduce or even avoid smoking.

Start by reducing cigarette consumption per day at the beginning of Ramadan. After that, you can reduce your cigarette consumption until you finally stop smoking on Eid al-Fitr.
